INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND SUMMARY - VILLAGE PRESIDENT: ---------------------- -,----------------------------------- President Cerne gave an overview on the establishment of a ' President Cerne stated in g special service area. re , eneral, that t ' the Board felt this project would improve the area but an overwhelming affirmative response from the Ginger Creek ' residents is required to pursue the project. SUMMARY OF PROPOSAL AND PRESENTATION -OF _PLANS, -COST _EST1MATE8 �------------------------------------- AND LEGAL STEPS INVOLVED: --------------------------- 1" VILLAGE ENGINEER: Engineer Durfey discussed the proposed roadway improvements of widening the existing road from 22 feet to 25 feet and installing curb and gutter on both sides of the street for a total of 28 feet including a cost estimate for the work" 2. He further commented that the Oak Brook name will be helpful in the ` sale of these municilpal bonds. / . 3. VILLAGE ATTORNEY: Attorney Brechin stated that state law allows residents opposed to the roadway project to pmtition the Village of ^ Oak Brook objecting to the creation of the special service area" Such a'petition must be signed by at least 51% of d owners of record and be filed with the ' the electors an own - �� from th f /i}lage Cledays no more than 60 (sixty) days e final adjournment of the public hearing. � O.
