The meeting was called to order at 8 :00 FM by Village President
T. A. Mohlmab. Roll call was taken; all Trustees present except
Messrs. O'Brien and Cwen. Village Clerk, Agnes P. O'Brien was
also absen4.

A. York Cemeter;_- Authorization to remove bodies (S ®41)
Mr. Julius Trefz - authcrized agent of the York Cemetery
Association - presented evidence to the Board in support
of his request for an ordinance authorizing the remuvaal
of certain bodies from York Cemetery. Mr. Trefz stated
that such Village acti.ott would impose no liability on the
Village of Oak Brook or the Trustees individually. Further,
no costs would be incurred by the Vilage whatsoever.
Mr. Calhoun moved - seconded by Mr. Roseman...
'hat the ordinance authorizing removal of certain
bodies from York Cemetery be adopted as presented.

That an ordinance amending an ordinance regulating
and licensing public passenger vehicles -.-+thin the
Village of Oak Brook (known as G-32) be ado-p*od.

C. Taxi Cab Lic nses
Mr. Roseman requested a continuation of this meeting on
Tuesday, March 27, to further consider the issuing of
taxi cab licenses - iorswich as Per. Owen was not present
at this meeting. President Mohlir --n indicated his willing»
ness to continue.
With respect to requiremeats for licensing of taxi cabs,
Mr. Roseman moved - seconded by Mr. Carley...
That the Chief of Police be authorized to waive
that portion of the r,rdinance relative to the
Secretary of State sticker being on file with the
Police Department, as it should be affixed to the
vehicle.

President Moblman re-d a letter from the Northern Illinois
Gas Company requesting vacation of portions of County Line
Road and Hunt Club Lane. Mr. Mohlman pointed out that
whereas this property is not within the Village limita,
Northern Illinois Gas Company had requested an opinion
from both the Village Board of Trustees and the Plant
Commission. Further, this has been recomatende.d by the
Village Engineer.

That the President and Village Cleric be authorized
to sign this vacation plat related to Hunt Club Lane
ano County Line Road, subject to the approval of

A. Westland Subdivision
President Mohlman Advised the Board that the area north of
Butterfield Road and east' of Midwest Roar? (known as
Westland Subdivision) had indicated their possible interest
in petitioning the Vil i.age for annexation.

A. Treasurer c s Report
Village Treasurer Van V.y W� presented a report fur the
mouth of February, 1962, showing "'cash on deposit" at
the end of the month of $7,972.59. Said report attached
to these minutes.

Officer Harold Walther's six monthts probationary period
in the Police Reserve Ioir=ision was completed February 19,
1962, and his statue as a regular police patrolmen
became effective March 1, J 9c,2. During the interim period,

President Mohlman presented the request of the Oak Brook
Library Association for space in the Village Hall.
Inasmuch" as the Village Offices will very 1ikely have to
be ended in tae neex future, and Nor. Frank Pearson
advised that in his opinion the structure would not bear
the weight of a library without considerable structural
reinforcement, Mr. Moh °ban was requested to advise the
Library Associatiou that their request was necessarily?
being denied.
X NEW BUSINESS
A. Plan Commission - Additional Members
President Mahlman advised the Board that he would like to
consult with Mr. S. Dsan relative to the possible appoint•
went of Mr. Charles Miedes and Mr. Robert De Witt to the
Plan Commission if such appointments would mret with
Mr. Dean's approval. This would bring the Plan Commission
to six members and a chairman - as provided by ordinance.

That the Notice from the State of Illinoi relative
to the Applicatio!r of Helicopter Air Lift, Division
of Butler Aviation, !=. for approval of a restricted
landing area heliport located near Oakbrook, Illinois,
said notice advising that all persons nc+tified may
file objections ------ be placed on file.

President Mahlman advised that Mr. George Chamberlain of
Cicero, Illinois had requeste-A "special police powers"

accordingly.

President Moh1man requested that copies be furnished to
all Board members for their review prior to the April
Board meeting.

"security personnel"' held on February 22, 1962, relative
to police control at thn Center, He also pointed out
that the V' 11age of Oak Brook cannot ask assistance from
other departments if we do not make full usP of our awn
reonnal, and if and when our Reserves are required,
ptain Studzinski has been directed to use thetas. when
posaibls, he should contact either President Mahlman or
Mr. Carley in advance.
