Minutes - 03/14/1972 - Board of TrusteesW 0- r -T-- 1 0$-- W VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK MINUTES OF March 14th, 1972 I ROLL, CALL The regular board meeting was called to order at 8:04 P.M. by President Dean. All Trustees were present except Trustee O'Brizn. 11 READING OF MINUTES Trustee Howell moved - seconded by Trustee Beschen... That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of February 22nd 1972, be suspended and that they be accepted as submitted. Voice vote all in favor. SAN ordered. III ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS. VARIATIONS, PLATS,, EPC. A. Comprehensive Plan Each trustee was provided with a copy of 'trustee Rush's letter dated March 1st, 1972, together with text and plate correction® to be made to the cmprehensive plen. Trustee Bash reviemtd these corrections. Trustee Howell requested that color distinc- tion be made in the hotel areas to designate separate toning categories and one minor text change as to the actual purchase- of the village hall. The staff will proceed with these revision&. President Dean direct -ad that the matter be tabled until the first meeting in April. B. Oak Brook Development Company - Rezoning Request - R-4 to ORA -1 Each trustee was provided with a copy of a traffic study prepared by Alan M. Voorhees & Associated, Inc. on the traffic effects of Corporate Plaza Units 1, II and III. Trustee Rush reported that the Zoning and Planning Committee recommendation is that the village board deny the rezoning renuest of the Oak Brook Develop- ment Company because of the traffic which would be generated by this rezoning. President Dean and Trustee Baschen questioned whether the present R -4 zoning would not constitute spot zoning because of its position between ORA -1 and Dark district property. Trustee Rush moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the village board deny the Oak Brook Development Company application for rezoning. Trustee Howell Moved - seconded by Trustee B-sehen... Treasurer's Report All trustees were, furnished with a copy of Treasurer Van Dyke' n report for the month of February, 1972, shoring "rash on Deposit„ of 1176,862.41 at the end of the month in the corporate Account and $5,235.45 in the Road and Bridge Fund. Oak Brook Development Company's COMmerce Plaza Unit 4 Subdivision Plat was completed ready for recording. MIS S INSPECTIONS: Numerous inspections have been made to examine various street and drainage problems, and work being done on approved permits. Numerous inspections were made in conjuction with Rinsdale Sanitary District Trunk Sewer Job and Special Assessment Jobs. Regular inspections have been made of the new Fire Station. MISCELLANEOUS: Bids were received, the Contract awarded, and culvert material delivered to the job for the new Cuivert to carry Ginger Creek under Royal pale Drive. A preliminary plan was completed for extension of the widening of Oak Brook Road from the Route 83 Grade Separation to Spiing Road and work partially completed to determine total cost of the proposed project. ' A meeting was held with Frank Pearson, Chief Ehle and Lt. Ringer and new proceedures for Building Permit Plan Review were discussed, agreed upon and s' instituted. These proceedures should virtually eliminate misunderstanding of Oak Brook Requirements by the person obtaining a permit for Commercial Building.
