All trustees wem prouent. 1I READING OF MINUTF -13 Trustee Rossnian moved - seconded by Trustee Rush.. That the reading; of 4hL Minutes -s Of the regular meeting of March 9th, 1971, be suspended and that they be accepted as submitted. Voice vote - all in favor. III OLD BUSINESS So ordered. A. Public Information: Meeting Schedule Oak Brook Utility Co. Administrator Urhaueen read a listing of the proposed meetings scheduled to take place throughout the village in order to inform residents as to the facts regarding the proposed pur- chase of the Oak Brook Utility Company by the pillage of Oak Brook. Trustee O'Brien suggested that the Oak Brook Civic Association be contacted regarding the time allotted to this subject at their meeting on April 1, 1971. President Dean directed Mr. Urhxuaaen to contact the program committee of the civic association to determine whether equal time ccvsld be allotted to botch viewpoints on the subject matter. After further discussion, the board agreed to ask that the subject matter be removed from the agenda on that particular date in view of the fact that the matter will be discussed in its entirety on April 7th, 1971. B. Surface parkin Standards Administrator Urhausen reported on the status of surface parking standards. The board unanimously agreed that this subject matter be referred to the plan cnmmBsion for further study. Trustee Rossman suggested that a meeting be held with the Oak Brook Development C anpany to discuss the matter of surface parking aatandards in ar. attempt to reach agreement without substantially alter:Ang the entire propoual. 0. Portable Radios - Police RMartment Each trustee was provided with a memorandum from Administrator Urhausen. dated March 22, 1971, stating that only one bid was received from Motorola Communications, line. for the purchase of four 5 -Matt, two frequane:y radios, 2 rapid charge *argere and 2 rapid charge nickel cadmium batteries. After discussioa. the following Motion was made. Trustee Howell moved - seconded by Trustee Cvngr -ve... That Mr. Urhausen be authoririid to purchase this radio evuipment from Motorola Commsaications, Inc. at a cost of $3,,668.00.
