R®ll call s The April 210 1961, Board of Trustees, Village of Oak Brook Con- tinuation Meeting of April ll, 1961, was called to order at 7155 p.m, Roll call was taken. All trustees were pre sent s The Village President, T, A. Mehlman, requested a motion to appoint Krs. Agree P. O'Brien, Clerk, Pro Tom, in lieu of Mrs. Phyllis Perkins' absenae. Kra Reesman moved and Mr, Dehmlow seconded Its Motion was carried. S. ReadLn of minutes: The minutes of the April 11, 1961 meeting wars read. There were no corrections or additions and the minutes stood approved as read, 6 • Ordinances and Resolut alna 3 Police Department ,r mr, Mmhlman discussed the possibilities of reorganization of the Village Police Department. He asked if there were any reosmmeudations. Cdr. Reesman made a motion that Mr, Ott be kept an in his present capacity until he bas to return to school in the fall either with er without com- pensation, Notion failed for the want of a s000nd. Kr, Carley made a motion that Mr. William Holler be approached to appear before the Village Beard of Oak Brook to determine whether or not he should be hired. The motion was seconded by Mr. Calhoun. The motion was oarried by a voice vote, Be ordered. Mr, Carley stated that he would contact Ure Holler and request that he appear before the Board at 7:00 p.me, May '9, 1961. Mr. O'Brien made a motion that this ordinanoe be adopted. Mr. Carley , seconded its Approved by rot] call. vote: ayes -6, nays - 0, Motion carried. Ordinance No. (G-23). Mr. O'Brien read an Apprepristi4u Ordinance stating the expense requirements for the year of 1961. Mr. O'Brien requested that Villagd Attorney Bowersuse the amounts agreed on by the Board and draw up said ordinance. Mr. Carley made the motion and it was seconded by Mr. Rossm&n. Notion carried by veioe veto. Be ordered. R"'11 Village Attorney Bowereread a letter from Querbes & Bourquin Insurenee Service stating that the two (2) insurance policies for the West Shore pipe Line CompaLy, do cover the agreement holding harmless the Village.ef Oak Brook. Mr. Mehlwan entertained a motion that the resolution bb adopted. Mr. Ressman as moved that the West Shore Pipe Line Company Resolution be adopted. Mr. Calhoun seconded it. Motion curried by voice vote. Rese3utien No. (R•11). '°qq Village Attorney Bowers read an Ordinance licensing peddlers and solicitors within the limits of the Village of Oak Brook. Mr. Moha;nan asked that a motion be made that tho wr-ulnanoe be adopted as read. Mr. Calhoun made the motion that the ordinance be adapted and Mr. Carley seoended it. Roll Ball vote: ayes - 6, nays - 0. Be ordered. G'-,,(p Village Attorney Bowereread an Ordinance establishing the Office of Deputy Clerk in the Village of Oak Brook. Presideut 8ohlman asked that a mat ion be made that the ordinance be adepted. Mr. Rossmmn made a mat ion that the ordinance be adopted and Ere Calhoua seconded it. Roll call votes ayes - 8, nays - 0. Notion carried. Mrs, Carley expressed the desire to have Mr. Litteau reinstated in the regular Police Department. Village Atterney Be ere stated that Mr. Litteau would have to be reappointed. Village President, MohImn anim tertained a motion from the Board that the reappointment be apprroved. Cdr. Carley made the motion and it was seconded by Mr. Dahmlew.
