April 21, 1981
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by
Clerk Lakosil in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons.

In absence of President Cerne that Trustee Watson serve as President Pro Tem
for this meeting.

II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

That the minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 14, 1981 be deferred to the
next Regular Meeting of April 28, 1981.

A. RESOLUTION R -301: A RESOLUTION FOR MAINTENANCE OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS BY
MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE
Proposed resolution required for appropriation of $27,060.17 of Motor Fuel
Tax Funds for 1980 expenditures of deicer salt and energy.

Midwest Road /Baybrook Lane /Tollway Entrance
Trustee Congreve moved - seconded by Trustee Rush....
To approve the payment request to reimburse the Authority in the amount of
$7,380.31 for the bicycle trail construction and $12,393.65 for traffic
signal construction at the subject location subject to receipt of a fully
executed agreement from the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority.

To approve the paymentof $201,263.68 for the purchase of the East Fullersburg/
Robin Hood Ranch watermain from the Hinsdale Sanitary District, to become
effective May 1, 1981-based upon the proposal dated April 9, 1981 from
Hinsdale Sanitary District.

B. Bicycle Trail - Steeplechase

Due to the extreme topography in the location for the bicycle trail easement
in the Steeplechase Subdivision, conventional contruction methods cannot be
utilized. Staff was directed to proceed with Alternative 4 in memo from
Engineer Durfey dated March 18, 1981:
4. Seek alternative easement locations from the developer and /or
owners of the respective lots to the east of the Salt Creek
bridge crossing to avoid these topographical problems.
Trustee Reynolds moved - seconded by Trustee Rush....
That staff and /or appropriate trustees approach the Homeowners Associations
of Timber Trails /Merry Lane, in regard to their desire for a Pedestrian/
Bicycle Path connecting their respective subdivisions to Harger Road,
subsequent to their understanding or acquisition of necessary easements.
