A. ROLL CALL
The regular meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
President Dean. All trsteea were present except Trustee
Howell.
II READING OF MINUTES
Trustee O'Brien moved seconded by Trustee Bsachen...
That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of April
filth, 1972, be suspended and that they be accepted as submitted.

Each trustee was provided with a copy of a letter from Manager
Urtausen, dated April 219t, 1972, together with a proposed
resolution authorizing the village board to aesme a voting
members p in the Wentem Area Transportation System (WAn5
Council by the appoiRtMent of a delegate.
Trustee Bush moved - seeandcd by Trustee Hayes...
That Resolution R -132 be pAesed and approved by the village
board.
Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered.
Trustee Baschen reauesited Manager Urhauaen to represent the
village in the WAWS council.
B. Portion of Jorie Boulevard Vacation Ordinance S -249.
Each trustee was provided with a proposed ordinance vacating
a portion of Jorie Boulevard.
Trustee Rush moved w a�:conded by Trustee Congreve...
That the reading o:= Ordinance 3-a249 be waived, that the
village board pass and approve said ord inane as presented,
and that the apprnpriate village officials be authorised to
affix their signatures to the accompanying plat.

D. National _Bank of Oak Brook Special. Use Ordinance S -251
Each trustee was provided with a copy of a proposed ordinance
granting a special use permit to the National Bank of Oak Brook
for the ,construction and operation of a drive -in banking facility.
Tructee Rush moved seconded by Trustee Congreve...
That the reading of Ordinance S -251 be waived and that said
ordinance be paswed and approved by the village board subject
to the definite deletion of four parking spaces north of the
proposed facility on the plait and the addition of the
architectural firm name in the ordinance.

A. Oak Brook Fire Station No. 2 Landsca - Bid Authorisation.
Manager Urhausen reported thpt specifications and plats for
the proposed landscaping for Fire Station No. 2 had been re-
ceived and reviewed by the Public Buildings and Properties
Committee at 7:00 P.M., this date.
Trustee Baachen moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes...
That the village manager be authorized to procure bids from
preqaalified bidders for the landscaping of Fire Station
No. 2 and procure prices for the stock Listed for consideration
at the May 9th board meeting.
Roll Call Vote: Ayes - Trustees Baschen, Cosngreve, Hayes,
O'Brien, Rush and President Dean.
Nayes - None
Absent- Trustee Howell So ordered.

Each trustee was provided with a memorandum written by Manager
Urhausen, addressed to the chairman of the DuPage County Zoning
Board of Appeals,, under date of April 20th, 1972. Manager
Urhausen reported on his attendance at this hearing on that
date and advised that the DaPage zoning ' boa.rd is now in the
Pmv- ° of & - Liberation regatrlinq this petition
President Dean commended Manager Urhausen on the thorough and
satisfactory manner in which he presented the village's position
in this matter.

Each trustee was provided with a exemorandm from der ur%weeu,
dated April 216t, 1972, regarding the Oakley Acres (V at e e
Pie ="tg) development. Mr. Urhaiti ®en reported that the vii. e
staff was in the process of negotiating vi.th the developarr
order to arrive at a solution acceptable to most of the affected
area residents.
Mr. Simon Alport also stated his pozition regardift thU Vie,
problem and retmeeted the board's support in solving same.
Attorney Teschner advised that, in his opinion, negotiations
beget:. the village staff and the ,developer should continue in
order to satisfactorily resolve the existing drainage problem
and the board unanimously concurred.

Each trustee was provided with a copy of a proposed pmt release
written by Manager Urhausen regardIDg the proposed Clem -up dray
recommended by the Public Works daa Tttee of the village board.
Trustee O'Brien moved eeconded by Trustee Rush...
That YAnager Urhausen be authorized to engage the licensed
scavefters in Oak Brook to pick-up miscellaneous debris in
the residential areas of Oak Brook on .Saturday, YAW Uth,
L9721 at a cost not to earceed $19SO0.00.
