PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Pledge of Allegiance was given at 7:50 p.m
WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION:
Village President Karen M. Bushy welcomed representatives in attendance from the Village Board of
Trustees, Plan Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Library Commission, Board of Fire and Police
Commissioners, Safety Pathway Committee, Homeowners Association Presidents, Oak Brook Area
Association of Commerce and Industry, Oak Brook School District 53, Oak Brook Park District
Commissioners and Executive Director and Village employees. She introduced newly elected Trustees
Adam Butler and Alfred P. Savino and Village Clerk Linda K. Gonnella.
INVOCATION:
Pastor Emeritus of Christ Church of Oak Brook, Reverend Dr. Arthur DeKruyter, offered comments and
a prayer of benediction for the Village and the newly elected officials of Oak Brook.
SWEARING IN OF NEWLY- ELECTED OFFICIALS:
Village Attorney Richard A. Martens gave the Official Oath of Office to newly elected Village Clerk
Linda K. Gonnella.
Village Clerk Linda K. Gonnella gave the Official Oath of Office to newly elected Village President
Karen M. Bushy and Trustees Adam Butler and Alfred P. Savino.
REMARKS BY NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS:
President Bushy and Trustees Butler and Savino gave brief remarks of the concerted effort by appointed
and elected officials to maintain the excellent viability of Oak Brook now and for the future and thanked
all those who voted for their election to public office.
Trustee Gerald O. McInerney read a letter of greeting from Michael Butler, son of the founder of the
Village.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Special Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
