A].1 trustees were present except Trustee Baschen. READING OF MINUTES Trustee O'Brien Moved - seconded by Trustee Congrave... That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of April 25th, 1972, be suspended ar3 that they be accepted as submitted. Voice vote -- all in favor. So ordered, ORDINANCES, FMOLUTIONS , VARIATIONS, PLATS, EM. A. Sheraton Oakbrook Sign- Variation Reauest Each trustee was provided with a copy of a letter from Zoning Board Chairman Rhodes, dated May 4th, 1972, recomending that the applicable provisions of the Oak Brook 74ning Ordinance be varied so as to allow a total of 2471j snuarP feet of sign area on the Sheraton building ing motion was made. . After discussion, the follow- Trustee Howell moved - seconded by Trustee Rush... That this variation renuest be denied. Roll Call Vote: Ayes - Trustees Conreve, Hayes, Howell, O' Brien . Bush and President Dean. Nayee - None Absent- Trustee Baschen So ordered. B. Soukupi'Tallbem Rear YAML Variation Rae Mest Each trustee was provided with a copy of a letter from Zoning Board Chairman Rhodes, dated May 4th, 1972, recooMMding that the reauired yard setback for the Construction of a horse stable be varied from 9th' to 24' subject to the removal of all exist_ 119 sts'ucturee on Lot 2 within two years after the beginning of construction on the horse stable, and subject further to the removal of the horse stable to its entirety in the event that Lot 2 would be subdivided for another buildable site. Trustee Rush moved - seconded by Trustee O'Brien.., That the village. board concur with the rec emendation of the zoning board and that the village attorney be directed to prepare an c:pprope -ate ordinance for passage at the next regular board meeting. V OLD BUSINESS ALL 1972 --73 Corporate 4peratin Budget Each trustee was provided with a cony of the proposed 1172 -73 corporate operating budget under date of April 11th. 1972, which incorporated ,revisions which were made in camittee meetings in the int!!erim. Trustee Howell, Chairman of the Finance and Corporate Comittee, briefly Outlined the proposed budget and Manager Urbausen enmerated each department's role in the 1972473 pericd. Trustee. Howell moved - seconded by Trustee Congreve... That the 1972 -73 corporate operating budget as submitted be approved by the board of trustees and that the village attorney be directed to prepare an appropriation ordinance incorporating a ten percent contingency increase for passage at the next regular meeting. LGIM range Revenue/EMenditure ProjIctions Each trustee was provided with a draft copy of long range reveertue/expenditure projections w icli were prepared under the direction of the Finance and Corporate Plaming Comittee. Trustee George HoweLl briefly summarized these projections and revuested all members of the board to study this report and contact Manager Urhausen to relate any comments or sugges- tions they may have for future planning. C. Bids Received - Laudscapins Fire Station #2 Manager Uzrhaugen reported that four bids have been received for landscaping fire station #2 and that they were in the hands of the staff for cLariffcation due to the various diffexences in landscaping stock. He stated that a report w=ld he ready for the next regular board meeting. D. 31,st rk Widening -- Prnereas Report Each trustee wag provided with a copy of the minutes of the meeting held at Butler School on April 19th, 1972, and a detailed breakdo -an and analysis of accident experience pre- pared by Sergeant Jani.k of the Oak Brook Police Department. The P+4blir Works Comittee of the village board, chaired by r ustee Hayes will conduct an open meeting on Thursday, May 11th. '' 71, at 7:00 P.M. in the village hall to discuss this matter further.
