The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:30 P.M.
by President Cerne in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons.

THE DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL FIRE LANES
Proposed Ordinance designates fire lanes at 2601/2603/2605/22nd Street,
1315 22nd Street, 2210 Midwest Road, and 814 Commerce Drive.

Proposed Ordinance authorizes the sale of ten (10) lengths of 50 foot
3 inch Keystone fabric hose with 22 inch brass couplings to the Adams"
Volunteer Fire Department, Adams, Wisconsin, for the offer submitted in
the amount of $50.00.

V. OLD BUSINESS
A. Robert Parks Assessment Plat and Variations - (3701 Madison Street)
On May 4, 1982 the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended that variations be
granted for a three (3) car garage addition to be built six (6) feet from
the front lot line and an enclosed swimming pool addition to be built,
eighteen (18) feet from the rear lot line.

To approve the variations as recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals in
memo from Chairman Baroni dated May 6, 1982.
No second - Motion failed.
Discussion followed and the Petitioner agreed to reduce the width of the
garage by twelve (12) feet.

To approve the rear yard variation of eighteen (18) feet to the rear (East)
lot line, as recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals and to approve a front
yard variation of eighteen (18) feet to the front (West) lot line, and direct
the Attorney to prepare the required ordinance.

Upon discussion of the Assessment Plat it was noted that a variation to lot
area is necessary to consolidate the 3 parcels into a single lot of approxi-
mately .85 acres. The applicant amended the variation application heretofor
acted upon, to include a variation to lot area with no additional filing
fee to be paid. With no objections this matter was referred to the Zoning
Board of Appeals meeting of June 1, 1982.
B. William Duff - Lot Area, Side and Rear Yard Variations - (3520 -3600 Spring Road
On May 4, 1982 the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended that the request for
the three variations be denied as per letter from Chairman Baroni dated May 6,
1982. The McMahon and Duff Resubdivision is scheduled to be heard by the Plan
Commission on May 17, 1982.

C. Village of Oak Brook - Driveway Variation (800 Oak Brook Road)
On May 4, 1982 the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended approval of a
variation to,permit the construction of a thirty six (36) foot wide drive-
way from Oak Brook Road to the Sports Core area.

To concur with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals and direct
the Attorney to prepare the required ordinance.

To authorize the advertising for bids for a thirty six (36) foot, 3 lane
section driveway to the Sports Core from Oak Brook Road. Bids to be re-
ceived on Monday, May 24, 1982 at 11:00 A.M.

F. Timber Trails /Merry Lane Gateway Improvement
Discussed at the Committee -of- the -Whole Meeting of February 9, 1981 and since
that time the Homeowners Association has been attempting to reconcile the
exact improvements to be made at the intersection.

To authorize a permit to be issued for the improvements as outlined in letters
dated May 5, 1982 from Tom Millon for the Merry Lane "Entrance Way" with said
improvements to be maintained by the Timber Trails /Merry Lane Property Owners
Association as per letter from Charles Rysdon dated April 27, 1982.

G. AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE WESTERN GOLF ASSOCIATION.
Agreement approved on April 27, 1982 with the deletion of paragraph VI (C).
Western Golf Association has submitted two alternative counter - proposals.

To amend the Agreement as approved on April 27, 1982, to reduce the considera-
tion Western Golf Association would pay pursuant to paragraph VI (B) from
$10,000.00 to $5,000.00.
After discussion, Trustee Rush withdrew his second. Motion failed.

H. Oakbrook Terrace /Drury Lane Theater Proposal - (Spring Road /Roosevelt Road)
Discussion held on letter and drawing from Oakbrook Terrace Mayor Richard
F. Sarallo dated April 29, 1982 requesting the Village to waive the previous
recommendation that the developer construct traffic signals and necessary
road improvements at the intersection of 16th Street /Spring Road. The
Village Manager was directed to draft a letter to Mayor Sarallo indicating
that if there is no participation by the developer,there is a possibility
Spring Road would be one -way Northbound during certain peak hours.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
A. Bicycle Trail Easement - Illinois State Toll Highway Authority - Midwest Road/
Baybrook Lane /Tollway Entrance
