1. CALL TO ORDER:
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by CALL TO ORDER
President Bushy in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons
at 7 :48 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
The Clerk called the roll with the following persons ROLL CALL
PRESENT: President Karen M. Bushy, Trustees Garry J. Bartecki, Kerry M.
Krafthe €er, Barbara A. Payovich, back H. Shumate, Jr., W.
Kelly Skinner, H. Richard Winters.
3. Pledge of Allegiance was given.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Trustee Shumate moved, seconded by Trustee Krafthefer to approve the MINUTES
Minutes of the Special Meeting of May 11, 1991 as corrected and waive
the full reading thereof. Voice Vote: Motion carried.
Trustee Skinner moved, seconded by Trustee Bartecki to approve the
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 14, 1991 as presented and waive
the full reading thereof. Voice Vote: Motion carried.
5. CONSENT (OMNIBUS VOTE) A� ENDA:
Trustee Winters moved, seconded by Trustee Bartecki to approve the
Omnibus Vote Agenda. Roll Call Vote:
Ayes: 7-Trustees Bartecki, Krafthefer, Payovich, Shumate, Skinner,

Treasurer's Report for the Month of April, 1991 as presented. Voice

Tabled at the Regular Meeting of May 14, 1991 for further review by VARIATION

Trustee Skinner moved, seconded by Trustee Winters to direct the Village
Attorney to prepare the necessary documentation to provide for a Side
Yard Variation that would allow a reduction in the south side yard to
approximately 13.25 feet instead of the required 18 feet to permit the
construction of a room addition (family room'. Roll Call Vote:

ANNOUNCEMENTSs
ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Bushy proposed an Open Forum, not -to- exceed 18 minutes :, be added to the
Regular Board Agenda following the Pledge of Allegiance. The Village Board
concurred with the recommendation of President Bushy and directed staff to
publish said Open Forum for the next Regular Meeting and include a sign -up sheet
for residents to address the Board at each meeting.
a seminar is being offered June S, 1991 at the DuPage county Auditorium regarding
Emergency Management for Loral Goverment officials.
Any residents that wish to communicate with the Village may correspond in writing
and copies will be distributed to all Trustees.
Staff will be attending aboard meetings only if their area of concern is being
addressed by the Board.
President Bushy, Trustees Payovich and Skinner will be meeting with our State
elected and appointed officials': in Springfield to address the Village's concerns
contingent with the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference.

recommendation of President Bushy and appoint Michael J. Meranda as the NOXIOUS

Village Manager Barley announced Lt. Pine of the Fire Department had
open hear surgery and was recuperating.
Trustee Fayovich stated she attended the DuPage County Hoard meeting on
May 28th and the Board approved the Salt Creak Water Shed Flan.
Village Manager Barley announced the June 240, 1991
Committee-- of -the-Whole suing will address the Village of Oak Brook
mitigation plan of Ginger Creak and Salt Creek.
Trustee Pa►yovich stated the DuPage Flood Plain Ordinance will be
addressed in Springfield. if States passage is approved, ccmunitiees
affected will be requested to assist in funding any projects for flood
control.
Trustee Shumate requested staff to research Sidd Finch's ;facade to use
if they are in compliance with our signage ordinance.
Jane-Dudek requested the Mosquito riot Line be avail..Able to the
residents. Village Manager Barley stated details regarding the mosquito
abatement program will be included in a letter to all Villftgee residents.
