Traffic enforcement has suffered somewhat due to unavoidable downtime experienced when we transferred all of our specialized equipment (VASCAR, etc.) to the new equipment recently placed in service. However, the Traffic Enforcement Program is coatinuing to show results in the areas of decreasing property damage and personal injury accidents. Tno Detective Division has also had another busy math as is spelled out in the Division's report. - The Juvenile Division also had aaother relatively busy month but seems to maintain about the same work load on a month to month basis. The Conmmamications Division, as evidenced by past reports, should also maintain a relatively heavy work load from mmth to month. Me first of June will see the ccMletion of a Traffic Bnforcea�ent Division consisting of a Sergeant sail three Patroben. they will specialize in areas of traffic enforcement, accident investigation, traffic surveys and any other related motor vehicle incidents . On Saturday, June 3, 1971 from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. the Police Der ar=-it mid the local duVter of the Fraternal Order of Police will co-sponsor a Butler Srnool Boys Patrol Picnic, It will be held at Fullersburg Park. Games will be planed, prizes given away and refm,'i ats will be served to the members of the school boy patrol w.d their families. The President and members of the Board of r stew are cordially invited to attend. Took all of the apparatus to the Seminary grounds and trained on ladder raises and proper placement, Each Haan raised all of the ladders to different windmm and different height roofs. Trained on drafting operations useing the test pits. Laid out master streams to the deluge gun and worked different pump and nozzle pressures. Worked pn proper master stream placement, Driver training and a rats 'nventox We ran a Goy- For drill Platoon Drills: All even were assigned reading from the Fire Chiefs Handbook, Chapters 11 & 12. Extensive ladder drills were conducted with the on duty men. Driver training and drafting operations with the test pit. We ran acceptance tests on both pumpers. A general review drill was conducted on all types of hose lays. Different pump and nozzle pressures plus a review of all of the apj2ftratus inventories. Merry Lane Subdivision - Concrete curbing and asphalt street patching completed, completing the improvements for this subdivision. MISCELLANEOUS INSPECTIONS: merous ispeetions ave been made to examine various drainage problems and work being done on approved permits. A number of inspectiors were made in conjuction with Hinsdale Sanitary District Trunk Sewer Job and a meeting held with Hinsdale Sanitary District, the Contractor and Engineer.
