Mr. Calhoun made the motion, seconded by Mrs. Pa ton to approve the selection and Mr. Sutler will cer ±A..+ +_be Medallic Art Oo., of Now York Oityt designers of the seal* to proceed per his inst=ructions• Ms . Butler left the meeting at 8 P.M. AttorwW Bowors read the prepared Liquor Orditrauce which automatically` names the President of the Board of Trustees as Liquor (bm issioner. However, a few changes and additions had to be made in the ordinance and it was held over until June 17th, which will be a contituation of this meeting. The clerk read a letter from President Mohlman to Mr. 0. B. Dold, Dapage County Road Commis.siomert regarding the village traffic problem. Mr. Dold ` answered Mr. Mohlman'e letter stating that regardless of the speed limit we adopt by ordinsnce it cam at be legally enforced under the 45 mph speed limit. Tbis ' 45 mph speed limit which will be posted, s+t the county's eaxpenset will have to be observed until such time as the Village of Oak Brook maintains itts oulf roads. Mr. 146h1map introduced Mr. David Ott and read several recommendations presented to him by Mr. Ott, who is anxious to become a member of Oak $rook's police department. Because Mr. Ott's residence is outside the Village limits he cannot be retEined as a Village Marshal. This brought on a discussion of a Village Marshal or a Police Department. Attorney Bowers read the ordinance which shall be eaJled "p a copy of which said ordinance is attached hersto acrd by refirerce made a jpqg part of these minutes. The motion to adopt this ord woe was made by Mr. Carlson seconded by Mr. Krueger and voted upon by the Board as followat Mr. Cslhroun - yes# I rl Mr. Carlson - yeas Mrs Solar - yeep Mr. Krueger - yea# Xrtf. A motion was made by Mr. Calhoun and evoonded by Mr. Krueger to recind the Ordinance known as Bps annexing certain territory to the Village of Oak Brook. The voting: Mr. Calhoun - yea. Mr. Carlson - yeti, Mr. Kolar - yes, Mr. Krueger - yea s Mrs. Peyton - yeas Mr. Mahlman - yes. coos - 69 News - 90 Upon the recommendation of Vigbt and Oo.s the trustees noted to adopt the Gas and Electric 6rdinauoen. For the Xleotric Ordinance the motion was made by Mrs. Peyton seconded by Mr. Calhoun. Tt should be noted at this time and made a past of these m1=tes the Pact that we would like no more overhead lines in thu Village of Oak Brook or on Butler Company properties and that in the future all telephone and power lines are brought in underground.
