MEETING CALL: CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was calleu to order by President Bushy in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Ccmmons at 7 :30 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was given. 2. ROLL CALL: The Clerk called the roll with the following persons PRESENT: President Bushy, Trustees Krafthefer, Payovich and winters. ABSENT: Trustees Bartecki, Shumate and Skinner. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: See 6. 4. ANNOUNCEMENTS & OPEN FORUM: Village Clerk Gonnella stated the new format of minutes and consent agenda are segments of the reorganization of the Village's official documents. Microfilming and indexing are the next phases of this project. Clerk Gonnella stated the Consent Agenda format should list all items to be voted by omnibus vote will be correctly placed on the Regular Agenda for the next meeting. S. CONSENT ( OMNIBUS VOTE) AGENDA: Trustee Krafthefer moved, seconded by Trustee Payovich to place approval of minutes on the Consent Agenda for omnibus vote including the approval of mirutes of the May 28, 1991 Regular Meeting and to approve the Consent Agenda.. REPORTS - SPECIALTY ARt ANNOUNCEMENTS FinanceZ PurchasipAj and Hotel, Convention & Visitors Committee: Trustee Bartecki - in Trustee Bartecki's absence, President Bushy stated staff has held meetings in regard to the lower Sales Tax revenue and its effect on the Village budget. its Core: Trustee Krafthefer - The membership to the oak Brook Bath and Tennis has increased slightly from last season. The Oak Brook Golf Course is preparing for the LPGA event held in August. The Polo & Equestrian Club will host family day, June 16, at the Polo Fields. July 3rd, the Village will host the fireworks display at the Polo Fields. Festivities include a resident veteran of Desert Storm to be honored, a Black Horse performance and musical entertainment. A 5 -year business plan for the Sports Core will be placed on the agenda for discussion for the July Czrooaittee -of- the -Whole meeting. Environmental Concerns & Public Works: Trustee Payovich - Diane Vrtiak, Mike Heranda's secretary, will take a medical leave of absence in the Public Works Department. since the construction strike had been settled Sunday, the contractor for Spring Road had begun work again on Tuesday. Personnel & Library: Trustee Shumate - In Trustee Shumate's absence, President Bushy stated Joanne fritter, Librarian, has recovered well from her surgery and will return to work June 171, 1991. Zoning & Planning: Trustee Skinner - absent. Publics Safety: Trustee Winters - The Fire Department assisted the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Department for the Route 83 storm sewer accident and on June 8th assisted the Westmont Fire Department response to the Jewel Food Store fire on Ogden avenue. Waste Management donated an infant CPR mannequin for CPR training by our Fire Department. Lt. Frank Pine should be released from the hospital this week and will have several months of therapy. John Cserwiec, a resident of 40 Royal Vale Drive, will represent the Village of Oak Brook on the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers. The DuPage County Police Chiefs developed this program to assist in arresting felons. The Board raises funds for cash rewards for persons offering assistance in arresting known felons.
