President Aohlman Called the June 14th meeting of the Oak Brook Board
cf Trustees to order at 7 :45. Roll was called with everyone present
except Mr. Krueger. The minutes of the May 10th meeting were approved
as read.
The President read a resolution, a copy of which is attached and by
reference becomes a part of these minutes, appointing Robert Tyrell as
Police Chief for the Village and asked for the Board's approval. Mr.
Calhoun Moved and Mrs. Peyton seconded to adopt the resolution and approve
the appointment. The voting Ayes - 5, Nays - 0, Abstained 1 (Kolar).

After the reading of the Apprcpriation Ordinance S -20, a copy of which is
herein attached and by reference becomes a part of these minutes, Mrs.
Peyton made the motion, seconded by Mr. Carley to approve it. Motion
tmemkewel unanimouslyy carried.

Bell Telephoue Company FranchisE Ordinance. Notion carried unanimously.
Mr. Mohlman read the Resolution appointing Dr. Chas. A. Lang, DuPage County
Health Department as Health Officer for the Village, a copy of which is
attached and by reference becomes a part of these minutes. i.r. O'Brien
moved, Rr. Calhoun seconded to adopt this resolution. Motion carried
unanimously.
Mr. Calhoun moved, Mrs. Peyton seconded to accept the treasurers report.
Motion carried. Voucher #1 was presented by Nor. Owen as follows:

Mr. O'Brien moved, Mr. Kolar seconded ':o approve thhse bills for
paysent --
payment. Motion carried.
Police Department report was read and accepted. Mr. O'Brien requested
we instruct Village Attorney to draw up an ordinance, or whatever was
required governing parking on streets during certain hours.
President Mohlman was requested to write 0. B. Bold regarding the street
signs on 31st Street near Spr4.ng Road.
N.r. Mohlman drought up the York Woods Rezoning, number
3 -B on the agenda, and Mr. Kolar raised a point of order with reference
to same and submitted the following memorandum and requested it become
a part of the minutes. Quote - "In7 view of this I request a ruling on
the following point of order namely, Is it proper for this board to vote
amendments to an ordinance that basialy is illegal on the grounds that it
was voted for by employees of the Butler Company, whose profits are
appreciably effected by the changes in the community resulting from the
ordinance, and on the bans of an illegal ruling by the chair, a Butler
Company employee, regarding his own status in this regard. I quote as the
legal authority on which I base the request for a -uling 43 Corpus Juris 7801.1
unquote.
Xr. O'Brien wcs then asked by Mr. Mohlman to Poll the Board on movinjS on
to numbers 3 -B and 3 -C on the agenda. The voting: Carley - yes, Calhoun -
yes, Peyton - yes, Kolar - no, O'Brien yes, Mohlman - yes. Notion
Carried.

yes., Peyton - yeas Kolab/ - no, Mohlman - yes.

MIA Peyton moved, seconded by Mr O'Brien that the Board instruct the Village
Attorney to draw up an Ordinance AmenOirg the Zoning Ordinance perta9 ning
to the area called Route 83. Votin3: Ares - 5, Nays - I (Kolar).
4µs. Peyton also requested that the Village Attorney be instructed to be
present at the Village Board meetings.
