The Spocial sleeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by President
Cerne n the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons at 7:00 Q.H.
I. ROLL CALL:

II. WATER EMERGENCY - ORDINANCE NO. G -413 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL
FEES AND CHARGES FOR ENFORCEMENT OF PROHIBITIONS ON LANDSCAPE SPRTNKLING:
Previously discussed at the Committee -of- the -Whole Meeting of June 13,
1088. Public Works Superintendent Wilson detailed the demand on the water
system. Discussion followed on the memo prepared by Staff dated June 17,
laSB, including "Water Usage anJ System Status Report ". Due to the
possibility of experiencing a water shortage that could be a health hazard
ana extreme inconvenience, as well as the necessity of keeping pressure in
the tanks to fight fires, it is now necessary to enforce restricted hours
for the odd /even house numbers, with the discontinuance of water service in
the event of a violation. Restoration of water service after a violation
is to be subject to a $200.00 service charge.

To approve Ordinance No. G -413 as presented and to ,naive the full reading
thereof.
ROLL CALL VOTE: Ayes: Trustees Bartecki, Bushy, Tmrie, Maher, Rush, Winters
and President Cerne.

Trustee Rush moved, seconded by Trustee Planer...
To establish a policy of a warning ticket being issued by the Public ?forks
Department or Police Department, with pre - existing warning tickets being
considered as having been noticed; a second violation is subject to
discontinuance of water service by a Public Works Department personel with
a Police Officer present and upon payment of the $200.00 service charge ag
provided for in Ordinance No. G -413, the Public Works Department personnel
wi`.n a Police Officer present will reinstate the service.
VOICE VOTE: All present, in favor. So ordered.
III. ORDINANCE APPROVTNG AMERITECH LICENSE AGREEMENT - ORDINANCE NO. S -640 AN
ORDINANCE GRANTING TO AMERITECH COMMUNICATIONS, INC., CERTAIN RIGHTS TO
INSTALL FIBER OPTIC CABLE IN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS:
Previously discussed at the Regular +Ieeting of June 14, 1988 ana proposed
License Agreement conforms to the understandings reached at that meeting.

To approve Ordinance No. S -640 as presented; waive the full reading thereof
ana authorize the Village President and Clerk to execute the License

IV. OAK BROOK STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN:
P eviousl,r discussed at the Regular- Meeting of June 14, 1)88. Mr. W. T.
Bauer made a brief presentation on the scope of services and costs.
Trustee Imrie moved, seconded by Trustee Bartecki...
To accept the "flodified Proposal for Study of Flooding in Oak Brook" dated
Jane 16, 1183, from W. E. Bauer. C.E., at a cost not to exceed $36,000.00
and authorize staff to proceed.
