VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
June 23, 1987
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by President
Cerne in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons at 7:30 P.M.
I. ROLL CALL:

That the Minutes of the Committee -of- the -Whole Feting of June 8, 1987 be
approved as presented and waive reading of same.

A. ORDINANCE NO. G-400 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 12- 70(B)(5) AND
12 -70(C) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
Proposed Ordinance formally adopts the existing administration policies
pertaining to the termination of water service.
Trustee Bushy moved, seconded by Trustee Maher...
To pass Ordinance No. 6-400 as presented and waive reading of same.

VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ORDINANCE G-60, AS AMENDED, RELATIVE TO REQUIRED
YARDS (821 Red Stable Way)

THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK RELATIVE TO VILLAGE
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
Discussed and direction given at the Regular Meeting of June 9, 1987.

ordinance showing exception: "(a) weekends or holidays before noon, or
(b) if 13 years of age or under, after 3:45 P.M. on weekdays unless
acccinpanied by an adult. Members may play during the excepted tunes in
(a) and (b) above by paying the prevailing greens fees."

B. Oak Brook Hyatt Hotel (1909 Spring Road) - Temporary Occupancy Permit:
President Cerne stepped down from chairing the meeting and fr an
discussion on this subject due to business relationship of his
employer, I. C. Industries, with Hyatt Hotels. Trustee Rush chaired
the meeting on this subject.
Status report presented as requested at the Regular Meeting of June 9,
1987.
C. Water System Pressure Differential Mitigation - Status Report:
Amendment #1 to the "Agreaaent" for consulting services approved at the
Regular Meeting of May 12, 1987. Discussion followed and it was a
consensus of opinion to have Harza Environmental Services, Inc. design
a low profile extension of the existing building. The Village is to
apply for a Special Use Flood Plain Permit to construct the booster
station at Well #6 site, 2915 Oak Brook Road.
VI. NEW BUSINESS:
A. 7CS Traffic Signal Controller Replacement:
Staff suggested professional engineering firms review, design, and
provide construction inspection services for the replacement of the
existing traffic signal controllers at the following intersections:
22nd Street /Oakbrook Center West, 22nd Street /Oakbrook Center East,
22nd Street /Spring Road, 22nd Street /McDonald's Drive, Spring Road/
Commerce Drive, Spring Road /Harger Road and Jorie Boulevard /Kensington
Road. Discussion followed and the Engineering Department was
instructed to review the matter further.
B. Open Forum:

To adjourn at 8:44 P.M. to Executive Session to discuss pending
litigation.
