The regular meeting Was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
President Jean. All trustees were present except Trustee
Rush.

Trustee O'Brien moved - seconc ed by Trustee Baschen...
The*_ the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of
June 13th, 1972, be suspended and that they be accepted as
submitted.
Voice vote - all in favor.
So ordered.
III ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, VARIATIONS, PLATS, ETC.
A. O.B. Int'l Office. Center - Floor Area Ratio Request
Due to the absence of the petitioner, this item was tabled
until the next regular meeting of the board.
B. Proposed Amendment to Ordinance G -60 - Accessory Off - Street
Loading Berths - Ordinance G-145.
Each trustee was providr,� with a proposed ordinance amend-
ing Section X1, Paragraph D, Subparagraphs 1 and 3; Section
XIV; and Section V of Ordinance G -60 as they pertain to
locaiion and access of loading berths.
Trustee Howell moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes....
That Ordinance G -145 be passed and approved by the
village board.
Roll Cali Vote; Ayes Trustees Baschen, Congreve, Hayes,
Howell, O'Brien and Pres. Dean.
Hayes None
Absent - Trustee Rush So ordered.
C. Bend's Subdivision
Each trustee was provided with a plat of the proposed
Beard's Subdivision; a copy of a letter addressed to the
pla:i commission from Engineer Dunkirk, dated June 14th,
1:72; and an excerpt from the June 19th, 1972, minutes of
the Oak Brook Plan Commission pertaining to the subject
matter.
Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Baschen....
That Beard's Subdivision be approved by the village
board and that the appropriate village officials be
authorized to affix their signatures thereon.

V NEW BUSINESS
A. DuPage Xonina Notice #2368 (1�, 6th and Spring) =
Each trustee was provided with DuPage County Zoning Board
of Appeals Notice #2368, pertaining to the American Growth
Development Corporation's petition requesting an extension
of a special use on a portion of their propert located on
16th and Spring and a rezoning of an additional parcel from
R -3 to B -2.
Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Howell....
That Manager U rhausen be directed to attend this hearing
on behalf of the village hoard and voice the board's
objection to the rezoning of residential property at
this location.
Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered.
B. House Bill - SB -1569 - Elections
Each trustee was provided with a letter from fir. Steven
Sargent, Executive Director of the Illinois Municipal League,
dated June 21, 1972, regarding Senate Bill 1569 which pro-
vides for a complete new election code wherein all elections
are to be held in May and November.
Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Howell....
That Manager Urhausen be directed to unite to the proper
state officials requesting that this comprehensive legis-
lation be held for additional study.
Voice vote • all in favor. So ordered.
C. Ensign Raymond W. VanDyke
President Dean acknowledged the presence of Ensign Raymond
W. VanDyke, who graduated from the united States Naval Academy
t Anapolis. Maryland on June 7th, 1,972, and congratulated
on this fine achievement. Ensign Van Dyke is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Raymond J. VanDyke, Jr. of 1515 Route 83, Oak Brook,
Illinois. Str. Van Dyke has served as village treasurer since
1961.
