I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
A. Roll Call
The regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Village Clerk Lakosil.
All trustees were present except Trustee Brown, Philip and President Howell.

To appoint Trustee Glaves as President Pro -Tem.

II. READING OF MINUTES
Trustee Reynolds moved - seconded by Trustee Rush...
That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of June 28, 1977 be
suspended and that they be accepted as submitted.

A. Resolution 227 - FOR MAINTENANCE OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS BY MUNICIPALITY
UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE - Rock Salt
Proposed Resolution must be executed in order to purchase road deicing salt
with Motor Fuel Tax funds.

Three bids were opened on July 6, 1977 at 11 A.M., for the blacktop sections
of Phase 1 of the Bike Trails.

To award the contract to the low bidder Goelitz Contractors in the amount
of $25,695.30.

G. Completion of Drill Tower - Fire Station 1
Eight contractors were requested to submit proposals to complete the masonry
work on the hose and drill tower. All but one contractor declined to
submit proposals for various reasons. Pat Filippi Contractors, Inc. is
the contractor doing the work on Wellhouse 6 and he submitted a proposal to
complete all of the masonry work for $6,830.00.
Trustee Cerne moved - seconded by Trustee Rush...
To accept the proposal of Pat Filippi Contractors, Inc. in the amount of
$6,830.00 and waive the bidding requirement.

H. Christ Church of Oak Brook - Pre - School, Special Use
Both the Plan Commission on June 20, 1977 and the Zoning Board of Appeals on
July 5, 1977, recommended approval of the request for an amendment to the
Special Use to allow for a pre - school operation at Christ Church.
Rev. DeKruyter highlighted the pre- school operation and the deficiencies
of the required landscaping as it relates to the screening of the parking
along York Road, Oak Brook Road, and the south property line, which had been
reviewed with staff and he has committed the church to comply with these
requirements.
Trustee Reynolds moved - seconded by Trustee Cerne...
That the Amendment to the Special Use S --237, as requested by Christ Church,
be granted to allow for a Pre - School with the play area to be located
within the triangular section to the east side of the building, and that
the playground equipment be screened with suitable plant material sufficient
to hide the image of said equipment, and that the village attorney prepare
the required ordinance.

I. Fred E. Beyler - 617 Wood Street - Side Yard Variation
On July 5, 1977, the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended that the request for
a side yard variation to eight feet be approved, for the reason that the
topographical condition of the lot makes it difficult for the applicant to
erect a garage within the prescribed lines, and for the further reason that
the structure will not alter the essential character of the locality.
Trustee Reynolds moved - seconded by Trustee Cerne...
To approve the request for a Side yard variation as recommended by the
Zoning Board of Appeals and that the village attorney prepare the required
ordinance.
