division reducing the front yard seat -bank requirements from
100 feet to 50 feet.

Company, indemnifying tha Village of Oakbrook, be reduced
to ten percent or the sum of $8,000 (in Accordance with
the letter of Oak Brook Development Company dated
July 21, 1967).

President Doan read an opinion from Attorney Bowers regarding,
the playground alleged to be In violation of the zoning
ordinance, in which he stated that In his belief this was a
non - conforming use inasmuch as it was established under the
County y .i otrdinance before annexation to the Village and therefore
does not io'late the ordinance at the- present , Lime., Letter
placed., on file.
B. York Woods Bntra —te Gates
Attorney Bowers reported having talked with Mr. Belline
brief' l on the matter and that they felt they uculd work
out a suitable contract, subject to Mr. Howell's direction.
He suggested that the Association be authorized to proceed
with the program as outlined in their letter subject to the
qualification of the status of ownership to the entrance
gates themselves.

That permission be given the Association to proceed with
the plan subjeot to a determination by the attorney of
the status of ownership of the gates themselves.

taking of a depot itL n that he himself felt was necessary and

Preaident Dean stated that he had received a call from the
Bethany Seminary asking permissioix to appear before the
Board in regara to annexation. fir. Russell Bundeson stroke
for the Seminary after which President Dean suggested he
draft a letter to the Villages ask;.ng that the subject =tier

Trustee Howell reported on the findings of the Fire Committee
arat asked the Board's permission to hire Mr. Robert H. Sohoff
for a three month period to take charge of training of
volunteers, at which time a decision should be made as to
whether or not he should be hired on a permanent basis.

That Robert H. Schoff b-- retained to act as "Supervisor of
Training" for a period not to exceed ninety days on a
forty -hour basis at $4.50 per hour.
