VILLAGE CIF OAK BROOK MINUTES OF August 8, 1972 I MEETING CAM A. Roll Call The regular meeting was called to order at 8 :00 P.M. by l President Dean. All trustees were present. II READING OF MINUTES Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Rush... That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of July 25th, 1972, be suavended and that they be accepted as submitted subject to the following correction: III ORDINANCES. RESOLUTION i , VARIAT IONS , ETC Trustee Rush moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... "That the final plat of Corporate Plaza Unit lI be approved subject to a recomendation by the Flan Commission on the precise location of and justification for proposed sidewalk improvements." Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered. I I i ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, VARIATIONS, PLATS, ETC. A. Annexation Area West of Oak Brook Hills Road - Ordinance S -259 Each trustee was provided with a copy of a proposed ordinance annexing the Mueller and Parrillo property to the Village of Oak Brook. Manager Urhausen advised that a legal notice was published in the Oak Brook DOINGS on July 27th. 1972, stating that the Oak Brook village board would consider the annexation of two parcels of property (1) Schwendener property south of Salt Creek and east of York Road, and (2) Mueller and Parrillo property north of 31st Street and east of Oak Brook Bills Road. Asir. Urhausen &Lao stated that the Schwendener property was annexed to Hinsdale by their board action on August let, 1972. Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Rush... Fraser, Chairman ProTem, Oak Brook Zoning Board of Aapeals, dated August 2nd, 1972, recommending that the re- quested variation be granted. Trustee Rush moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the village, board concur with the recommendation of the zoning board of appeals. and that the village attorney be directed to prepare an ordinance granting a variation in lot sine fram one acre to .9621 on property known as "Rickert's Division "north of Cak Brook Road and east of Meyers Road. Water- fights were conducted between 'oak Biook, Broadview & M LaGrange Park. This teaches the men haw to handle hose li- n e e and teamwork, Extensive drills were conducted with 915 & 916 on hose lays, hydrant hook -ups, pump operations and driver training. In service inspections with the P.O.C. Caen and the regular men were „ conducted. , The men were taught how to respond to the different occupancies. Platoon drills& The on duty platoons devoted the month to the hydrant pro- gram, All hydrants are being serviced and flowed. Sgeciax-&illsl Special familiarization drills were conducted for the new firemen on each platoon. 4 now firemen were added to the roster this month, special drills were conducted to teach the mein the basic operations of our department. s 90fermses, IMMInare etc attended, Lt Cote attended the Bomb Scene officers training program that was held by the International Asec, of Police Chiefs. Faulty concrete curbing was removed and - replaced. Corporate Plaza Unit II - Final plat was approved by the Plan Commission and the Village Board. Acorn Hili Subdivision Plat was recorded, White Oak Lane Subdivisioa - Final plat was reviewed and was approved by the Village Board. Oak Brook Club Subdivision - plat was reviewed anC was approved by the Plan Commission. MISCELLANEOUS: Discussions were held with Illinois Division of Highways Engineers regarding pre - liminsry plans for widening 22nd Street and Butterfield Road from Route 83 to York- town Shopping Center. Some preliminary drawings have been prepared for Public Works Building on the Village Hall site. Several meetings were attended with reference to Oak Brook Utility Company. Preliminary Engineering and Cost Estimates for Jorie Boulevard from Village Green to Corporate Plaza 11 Subdi vi si;,a were completed following taking o' ,boil borings for the structure to be built at Ginger Creek.
