We continue to witness increasing traffic problems due to the road closures and detours in and around our jurisdiction. How. ever, we are attempting to stay at least even with the increasing problems. In last months report I indicated to the ;hoard that we had an increasing problem with our available ambulance services and have since that time gathered pertinent information from the surrounding comwaities as to the types of equipment used; costs of operation and etc. This information has been forwarded to the Village Manager. Ire will, in tun foiwaurd this to the Board for their consideration, some time in the very near future. In addition to this , I have acquired a used ulance from the Chicago Civil Defense Orgaaization to serve an an interim basis. 1%e unit :Ls presently being cleaned and equipped with bare necessities such as blankets, sheets , and other first aid gear. The unit will be put into service upon receipt of authorization from the Village Manager. The sole purpose in obtaining this unit is so that we mgr prevent a tragedy by virtue of our lack of an available ambulance service.
