of Trurtees was called to order by the President at 7a30.

Mr. Mohlmen read a letter from Mr. ) iclntosh to Mr. Butler,

The Sales 'Tax Ordinance s ch shall be known as S-, E was read
X119 by the President. The Clerk was instructed to file this ordinance with
the Illinois Department of Revenue. Mr. Kolar made the motion to adopt
thia ord ^nance, seconded by )W. O'Brien,, a copy of thigh Bald ordinance
is attached hereto and by reference made a part of thee& 4- nutes. The

A report was given by the Treasurer, Mr, Owen. Yx. Solar made
the motion, seconded by Mr. Carley and passed by the Board authorizing
W. Owen to pay to the Butler Company 4 Village bills totaling $312.66.
Mr. Julius Butler and Mr Tyrrell made reports on the Police
Department. A check for #41.O0, for the Villagelle share of the fines
collacted in July was t timed over to the clerk.
Attorney Bowers nae asked to draw up a traffic ordinance
for approval by the Police Oommitteee Woo, to shook an a wed
ordinance.
The Board gage It's approval of the Equistrian Traffic
Light 4,o be Installod on 39 st8treet 'between, Paul Butler' it drive end
the entry -a to the ainde— ring. The resolution presented by the
County Road dommission relat' g to this Stop light was read by the
President. The motion to appxvve thi,e resolution was made by Mr.
Calhoun, seconded by MW. O'Brien and pa6eed by the Board.

Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of the t4unici-
pal Retailers' Occupation `fax Act a tax is hereby imposed upon SU persons
engaged in the business of soUing tangible personal property at retail
rathin the corporate limits of the Village of Oakb *ook, flu Page County#
Illinois, at the rate of one-half of one percent of the gross receipts
from the sales made in the course. of such business while this ordinance
is in effect, in accordance with the provisions of the "Munici- " Re-
tailere' Occupation Tax Act," being Section 23 »111 of Chapter 244 Illinois
Revised Statutes 1957.
Section 2o Every ay.1i person engaged in such business within
the corporate limits of the Tillage of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois,
shal.1 file on or before the fifteenth say of each calendar month' the re-
port to the state Department of Revenue required by Section 3 of "dn Act
in Relation to a Tax Upon P,irsons Engaged in the Business of Selling
Tangible Permonal Property to Purchasers for Use or Consumption," approved
June 28, 1 "33, as amended, and :hall file a duplicate of such report with
the Village Clerk of this Village.

posed on account of the receipts from -ales of tungible personal property
