I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
A. Roll Call
The regular meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by President Howell.
All trustees were present except Trustee Glaves.

Trustee Philip moved - seconded by Trustee Congreve...
That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of July 22, 1975 be
suspended and that they be accepted as submitted.
Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered
III. ORDINANCESa RESOLUTIONS, VARIATIONS, PLATS, ETC.
A. Ordinance G -174 - Increasing Number of Police Sergeants
An ordinance amending Ordinance No. G -76 to increase the number of Police
Sergeants.
Trustee Cerne moved - seconded by Trustee Brown...
That Ordinance G -174 as presented be approved and that the reading of same be
waived.

One federally secured certificate of deposit drawn on the Corporate account
in the amount of $100,000 to mature in the Oak Brook Bank on October 15, 1975
at the rate of 6.55 %.

V. OLD BUSINESS
A. Edna H. Veg ter Variation - Garage- 607 Harger Road_
Recommendation of Zoning Board of Appeals is to approve request for the
construction of a garage for a non - conforming use, and that it be located
25' rather than 30' from the side lot line.
Trustee Brown moved - seconded by Trustee Cerne...
Based upon the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals, the variation
request be granted and the Village Attorney prepare the required ordinance.

B. Recommendation - Water Policy_
C. Bid Recommendation - Acorn Hill Lane /Spring Road Watermain
Trustee Congreve requested these be deferred to next regular meeting of
August 26, 1975.
D. Report - Water Improvements - Lombard Water
Watermain Connection, Oak Brook /Lombard
reement - Authority to Bid-
Manager Carmignani reported on the status of the reciprocal agreement for
water between the Villages of Oak Brook and Lombard. Extension of the
existing system is necessary to make the connection at a cost of approximately
$605000.00.
Trustee Congreve moved - seconded by Trustee Philip...
To authorize advertising for bids for the Water Main Extension on Butterfield
Road between Fairfield Avenue and Mleyers Road. Bids to be received on
September 2, 19175 at 111 A.1110

VI. NEW BUSINESS
A. Water Pate Adjustment
The present Water Rates were evaluated, and after discussion,
Trustee Cerne moved - seconded by Trustee Congreve...
To direct the Village Attorney to prepare an ordinance to amend the Water
Rates, leaving the rates open.
Voice vote - all in favor
So ordered.
B. Clayton —Preliminary Plat and Zoning Amendment- set date for Joint Public
Hearing
Trustee Brown moved - seconded by Trustee Congreve...
That the Village of Oak Brook conduct a Joint Public Hearing of the Board
of Trustees, P1a an Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals, on September 10,
1975 at 7:30 P.M. in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons, and
that Notice of Public Hearing be published on August 21, 1975

C. Christ Church of Oak Brook - Waiving of Permi t Fee
Prior to the public hearing for additional parking on adjoining property,
the church requested approval to begin the Phase III addition.
Trustee Brown moved - seconded by Trustee Baschen...
That a permit to begin construction of the building addition on the property
the church has title to only, and that the permit fees be waived.

D. L. H. Metcoff - Special Use - Greenhouse- Meyers Road -south of 31st Street
President Howell referred this to next meeting of the Plan Commission and
Zoning Board of Appeals.
E. First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Chicago - Variation Sign
President Howell referred this to the next meeting of the Zoning Board of
Appeals.
F. John DuFon - Variation - Horse Barn -220 Breakenridge Farm
President Howell referred this to the next meeting of the Zoning Board of
Appeals.
G. Oak Brook Bible Church - Special Use
Withdrawn by petitioner
H. Butler Company (Christ Church) Special Use- Parking-
President Howell referred this to the next meeting of the Plan Commission
