The meeting was called to order at 8:02 P.N. by Village
Pr.aside.nt T. A. YK)hLman. All trustees were present except
vx. Peter _ Dahmlow.
II READING OF MINUTES
Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes...
That reading of the minutes of September 8th, 1964, be
suspended and that the minutes be accepted and approved
as submitted.

III ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIOPS

A village speed limit ordinance was presented to the
board for approve L. Dote to the fact that car ain
areas were not listed within this ordinance, it was
decided that said ordinance be re- submitted in order
to include additional streets according to the
d'.scretion of the polies committee.

That the Village Board approve and adopt Resolution
R06 stating that the Illinois State Toll. Highway
Commission, by resolution adopted August 14, 1963,
and Otto Kerner, Governor of the State of Illinois,
an June 25','1964, consented to the adoption of
certain annexation ordinances annexing certain
territories owned by the Illinois State Toll highway
Commission. (Ordinances S -1,, S «4, S --6, S--Ll, S -L2,
S -L6 rasa! S-30.)

IV OLD BUSINESS

President MQh1m3nopened bids from Mack Trucks, Inc.,
Pollard Motor Company, Jack Douglass, Incorporated,
Westmont Motor Salee & Sr-4te, and Grange Dodge, Inc.
It was unanimously decided that these bids be fsrtther
studied and that the award for the pw chase of this
dump truck be announced at the OctoWr 13th meeting of
the Village Board.

President Mohlean read President J. W. Coultrap'e letter
of September 8, 1964. which expressed permission of the
Village of Hinsdale for the Oak Brook Fire Department
to use Hinsdale hydrants located on North Spring Road
and on the South side of Glendale A -enue, when it appears
necessary in order to extinquieh V res and save Lives
and property.
C. Jewel Teo Co. Commendation
President Mohlman read a letter dated September 11th,
from Mr. George L. Clements, Pre sidetit of the Jewel Tea
Co. Inc.. addressed to Chiei Richard Siud$ineki, which
congratulated the Oak Brook Police Department fcr a fine
,fob in connection with the recent holdup at the Jewel store.
President Mohimon also read Chief Siudzinskils reply to
Mr. Clement's letter dated September 15th.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. Robinette Dump Protest
Fresident Mohlman read his letter dated September 18, 1964,
addressed to the Honorable William J. Rauer, States Attorney,
DuPage County, regarding a "protest" meeting which he
attended at the request of Oak Brook residents,
B. Ammendment of Ordinance G
It was unanimously sWoVed that the village attorney
prepare an ammendment to Ordinance G -19, Section I,
increasing the number of absences allowed from two
to }tour due to the increase in monthly meetings.
C. Hinsdale Area Duman Relations Council
President Rohlman read a Letter dated September 17, 1464,
from Mr. George P. Magnueon, Secretary, Hinsdale Ara$
Human Relations Council, annoucing a meeting of said
organimation at the Hinsdale Community House on Wednesday,
September 23, L964, cc 7:45 P.M.
D. pal, Brook Zoning Ordinance Meetiria
It was unanimously decided to hold a special meeting of
the Village Board, Zoning Board of Appeals. Plan Commission
and Carl Gardttftr on Monday, October 12th.
E. Geox 2. William College
Mr. Wilson Connell reported on the George Williams College
entrance at 31st Street and the Village Board requester)
the gate on said premise remain closed and intact.
F. Fullersbura Asscciation Meetine
Presidenc Mohlman announced that the Fullersburg Associatio4
would hold a meeting on Thursday, September 24th,at
St. John's Community Church at 8 P.M. regarding Salt Creek.
G. Fire De artment Trip
Trustee Roseman moved • seconded by Trustee Owen..,
That the village board approve the expenditure of funds.
not to exceed $250,00, to cover a aor+templated ttip
to Columbus, Ohio, by President Mohlman, Trustee
Roseman and Chien New to inspect fire equipment.
