VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK MINUTES OF OCTGPER 27, 1964 I ROLL GALL The &.eting was called to order at 8 :10 P.M. by Village President T. A. Mohlman. All Trustees were present except Mr. Peter H. Dahmlow. It READING OF MINUTES Trustee O'Brien advised that Item VI, Section B, No. 2 should reed: "That the promotion of Patrolman Klusak to the rank of Sergeant be approved and effective as of October 18, 1964.11 Trustee O'Brien mowed - seconded by Trusto.e Hayes... That reading of the minutes of October 13, 19640 be suspended and that the minutes be accepted and approved as submitted and corrected.' Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered. III OLD BUSINESS A. Merry Lane Subdivision Plat Truste i Owen moored " ©econded by Trustee Roseman... That the president and v�ilage clerk grant the Merry Lane Subdivision plat approval subject to receipt of a Letter from the owners of said subdivision property acknowledging the problem of village police protection and snow removal insofar as their recognizing the fact that this subdivision will receive less than normal police protraction until a direct access road is provided. Voice vote A all in favor. So ordered. B. 1.963 Real Estate Taxes - Viliage Hall Trustee Owen moved - seconded by Trustee Roseman... That the village reimburse the Butler Company for 1963 taxes on the old Butler School property in the amount of $85.OL. Roll Call Vote: Ayes - Trustees Havey,Hayes, O'Brien Gwen, Roseman and Pres. Moh Lman. Noyes Ncne Absent - Trustee Dahmlow So ordered. C. School „Ex�ens a -- Sergeant Mandel Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the board approve Sergeant Mandel's attendance at a Police Supervision School to be conducted at Northwestern University from November 2nd through November 20th, and that a check in the amount of $75.00 be drawn and given to Sergeant Mandel for miscellaneous expenses. The actual fee for this school cotwee is being paid by the Citizens Traffic Safety Board„ Roll Call Vote: Ayes - Trustees Havey, Hayes, O'Brien, Owen, Roseman and Ptree, Mehloan. That the Village Board approve payment of $1,500,00 to the I. C. Harbour Construction Company, Leaving a balance of $05.50 for the firehouse addition. Fire Scuigment President Mohlman read Trustee Rossman's report on a trip to the Sutphen Fire Equipment Co. in Columbus, Ohio, made by Trustee Roseman and Chief Edward New on October L9, L964. Trustee Roseman moved - seconded by Trustee Owen... That specifications be drawn for bid pro orals and eventual purefte of recommended fire equUment. It was unanimously agreed that President Mohlman, Trustee Roseman and Chief Nam form a committee for this purpose. Roll Call Vote: Ayes - Imstees Havey, Hayes, O'Brien, Owen, Roseman and Pres. The recent change in the police insurance policy resulted in a considerable savings of such funds. IV NEW BUSINESS A. Governer Kerneres letter - Economic Ogeortunity Act Preaide;rt Mohlman read the above letter to the board. It wan decided t1 :at President Mohlman acknowlege said letter with due appreciation. B. Buell- Anderson C2MLaint President Mohlman read a letter from Mr. Richard V. Houpt of Pedersen & Houpt, attorneys for Mr. S. W. Anderson of Mood Road, Oak Brook, regarding the building permit application of Mr. Roy D. well of WAshington and Spring Roads, Oak Brook. It was decided that this be for%"rded to the Zoning Board of.
