Trustee minters mved to deny the requested variation for the
following reasons: 1) That the applicant had failed to
demonstrate that the property in question cannot yield a
reasonable return if permitted to be used only under the
conditions of the "R -3" District. The home on the property was
formerly rented out by the applicant before the building fell into
disrepair. The Zoning Ordinance allows the applicant to repair
the existing structure; 2) That any plight of the owner existed
at the time she purchased or took title to the property; and 3)
That the applicant failed to demonstrate that the variation.. if
granted, would not alter the essential character of the locality.
Increasing the bulk on this property, as proposed, would put too
much house on this small lot. Seconded by Trustee Bartecki. ROLL
