I. MEETING CALL:
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by
President Bushy in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons
at 7:37 p.m. - Pledge of Allegiance was given.
2. ROLL CALL:

3. ANNOUNCEMENTS & ®PEN F®RUM:
Mr. Williams Barry, Board member of the United States Flag and Touch
Football Leagu e ( U SFTL) , requested to address the Board regarding the
parking facilities for their event scheduled at the Sports Core
November 29-28, 1993.
President Bushy stated the Village
Board is a policy setting, not a decision
making, Board and further discussion should be held with the 'V'illage
Manager. If the organization wishes to hold the event, the IISFTL must
comply with the Manager's direction.
Village Manager Powers state&Vfflage Attorney Martens and she are
commaumcating directly with the President of the USF TL to resolve the use
of parking facilities for the event.
Mr. Barry
requested this item be placed on the next Village Board agenda -
President Bushy stated that Mr. Barry may present a written request to
the Village for this item to be placed on the next Board agenda.
Porus Dadabhoy, representing the Citizens for Airport Reforms requested
to address the Village Board. President Bushy stated the �lage

Daniel O'Byrn, 229 Woodglen Lane, voiced his concern for a retaining �wall
abutting his property. President Bushy requested Mr. O Byrn to
with the Building iLnd Engineering staff on this matter.

Motion by Trustee Skinner, seconded by Trustee McInerney, to approve
the minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 26, 1993 as presented and
waive the full reading thereof . VOICE VOTE: Motion carried.

DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS - SPECIALTY AREAS:
Environmental Concerns & Public Works: Trustee Payovich -
Superintendent of Public Works Meranda noted staff is working on
completing the leaf removal program and thanked the newspapers for
publishing the Village's leaf removal schedule.
Finance/ Purchasing: Trustee Bartecki - Staff is in the process of
establishing the 1994 Budget. He further noted the December 11th Budget
Workshop for the Village Board.
Library & Hotel, Convention and Visitors Committee: Trustee McInerney -
Since the retirement of Librarian Fritter, the Village has begun the process
for a replacement with assistance from the Library Commission.
The Oak Brook Hotel, Convention and Visitors Committee has announced
that in the summer of 1994 the hotels will host Soccer World Cup teems.
Revenue from the Hotel Tax has increased from last year.
Trustee Shumate requested that the Hotel Committee again consider a video
of the Village for 1994.
Personnel & Public Saf2 jiL Trustee Kenny - Sgt- John Mitchell has been
appointed by Governor Edgar as the Director of the Illinois Emergency
Management Agency. He has been granted a leave of absence from the
Police Department.
Plante Zoning: Trustee Skinner - Special Plan Commission meetings
have been scheduled for the Institute in Basic Life Principles' request for
special use of their properties within the Village.

Sports Core, Library and Dark District were well attended. It was
suggested that a committee be formed to study the Village-owned Sports
Core property and coordinate future development. Staff is preparing
RPP's for an urban plan study.

Protection Agency in regards to the Clet1l Air Act. RI noted the
