The December 9th meeting of Oak Brook Village Board of
Trustees was called to order by President T. A. ifohlman at 7:70
Pcj.. Poll was called and the November minutes read, a motion for these
being approved was made by Mr. Kolar, seconded by Mr. Calhoun and
approved by the Boards
A report was made by Mr. Julius Butler, chairman of the Police
Commission, can his findingqo after further study, regarding the flak
Brook Police Department. He presented Mr. Robert Tyrrell whose
background includes several years with the United States Coast Guard
both here and abroad, part'.cipation in thh Illinois Nations Guard,
ten yearE with the Oak Park Police Force, a member of the DuPage
Coux S .%eriff' s Department and the past three years as Chief of
Police it Addison, Illinois.
President Mohlman approved Mr. Butler's selection of Mr.
Tyrre ?] ad Captain and acting chief of Oak Brook Village Polioe
Department. Yx. Kolar made the motion, seconded by r4r. Krueger to
appoint Pfx. Tyrrell to the position. The voting was: Yx. Calhoun
yes, Kr. Kolar - yes, Y.r. Krueger - yes Mr. Yohlman - yes. tyes - 4
Nays - 0.

IE was agreed that the Village of Oak Brook Traffic Code and
Arzeljt Froceedure be taken from The Illinois State Code and Some
Important Illinois Statutes and Decisions relative to
