A RESOLUT10N AUTHORIZING THE EXECUT10N
OF A CONTRACT FOR A REPLACEMENT SiGN FOR
THtt OAK BR00K BATH&TENNiS CLUB
WHERttAS,the entrance and exisung sign at the Oak Brook Bath&Tennis Club has been in
place for many years and a new sign is likely to attract more business and make it perfectly c!ear as to the
location of the entrance ofthis faci!lty:and
VVHERttAS, substantial work has taken place to bring about a design of a new entrance sign
which adopts comments received from the public and the Members oftheヽ ハ∥age Board;and
WHttREAS,Parvin¨Clauss Sign Company!nc has worked closely wth the Village to deve!op the
structural eiements,message and i∥umination ofthe signi and
WHEREAS,the importance of having a contractor that has worked on the development of the
sign makes itimportant that a Contract be entered into with that sign company for a reasonable Contract
price rather than to bid outthe development ofthe sign
NOW THERttFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRttSIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEttS OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BR00K,DU PAGE AND C00K COUN丁 IES,ILLINOIS,as follows:
Section l: 丁he text contained within the “VVHttREAS" clauses to this Reso!ution are
incorporated into and made a part ofthis Resolution.
Section 2: The V∥!age President orヽ ハ∥age Manager and the Village Clerk are authorized to
enter into a Contract vvith Parvin―Clauss Sign Company lnc.for the construction and insta∥ation of a sign
forthe Oak Brook Bath&Tennis Club,without the need for seeking bids for that Contract at the price of
$38,845,a∥in accordance with the Contract with the sign company and the drawing and specincatiOns for
the sign,a∥of which are attached to and made a part ofthis Resolution as Exhibit A
Section 2: This Resolution sha∥ be in fu∥ force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication in pamphiet form,if required by law
