SUBJECT: An Amendment to Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8A of the Village Code of the Village
of Oak Brook, Illinois Relative to the Number of Authorized Liquor Licenses
FROM: Charlotte K. Pruss, Village Clerk
BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: N/A
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Motion for passage of Ordinance 2014-LC-AL-G-1018,
"An Ordinance Amending Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8A of the Village Code of the Village
of Oak Brook,Illinois Relative to the Number of Authorized Liquor Licenses"
Background/History:
Village Code requires that any change in the number of liquor licenses that are being held in the
Village of Oak Brook must be passed by ordinance.
Grotto Oak Brook, LLC, d/b/a Grotto Oak Brook, currently carries an A-1 liquor license for their
restaurant located at 3011 Butterfield Road, Suite 101 located within the Promenade Center. The
Village was informed by NAI Hiffman that their lease was not being renewed. The closure is
expected to be permanent. This will decrease the number of A-1 liquor licenses by one, leaving
the total number of A-1 licenses at 24.
Recommendation:
The recommendation is for Passage of Ordinance 2014-LC-AL-G-1018.
