1. CALL TO ORDER
The Special Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was called to order by President
Gopal Lalmalani in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Butler Government Center at
5:33 pm. President Gopal Lalmalani turned the meeting over to Trustee Michael Manzo,
who is Chairman of the Fire Chief Selection Committee.
2. ROLL CALL
Village Clerk Charlotte Pruss called the roll with the following persons:
PRESENT: President Gopal Lalmalani, Trustee Michael Manzo, Trustee John Baar,
Trustee Gerald Wolin
ABSENT: Trustee Don Adler, Trustee Mark Moy, Trustee Asif Yusuf
IN ATTENDANCE: Village Manager David Niemeyer, Police Chief James Kruger,
Human Resources Generalist Kate Andris, Committee Member-Cathy
Giangrasse, Committee Member-Tom Mullins
3. ADJOURN TO CLOSED MEETING—FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING
APPOINTMENT, EMPLOYMENT, COMPENSATION, DISCIPLINE,
PERFORMANCE, OR DISMISSAL OF SPECIFIC EMPLOYEES OF THE PUBLIC
BODY PURSUANT TO SECTION 2C(1) OF THE ILLINOIS OPEN MEETINGS ACT,
RESPECTIVELY
Motion by Trustee Wolin, seconded by Trustee Baar, to adjourn to closed meeting at 5:34
p.m.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 3 —Trustees Baar, Manzo, Wolin
Nays: 0—None
Abstain: 0—None
Absent: 3 —Trustees Adler, Moy, Yusuf
Motion carried.
This meeting was adjourned and reconvened to Open Meeting at 6:59 p.m.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Trustee Moy (who entered the meeting during closed session), seconded by
Trustee Wolin, to adjourn the Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees at 7:00 pm.
VOICE VOTE: Motion carried.
