1. CALL TO ORDER
The Special Meeting of February 5, 2018 of the Village Board of Trustees was called to
order by President Gopal Lalmalani in the Upper Level Conference Room of the Butler
Government Center at 5:09 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Village Clerk Charlotte Pruss called the roll with the following persons:
PRESENT: Trustees John Baar, Philip Cuevas, Edward Tiesenga, Asif Yusuf, President
Gopal Lalmalani
ABSENT: Trustees Michael Manzo, Moin Saiyed,
IN ATTENDANCE: Village Manager Rick Ginex, Development Services Director Tony
Budzikowski
3. ADJOURN TO CLOSED MEETING — TO CONSIDER LITIGATION PENDING
AGAINST, AFFECTING, OR ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE, OR PROBABLE OR
IMMINENT LITIGATION AGAINST OR BY THE VILLAGE, PURSUANT TO
SECTION 2(C)(11), AND APPOINTMENT, EMPLOYMENT, OR LEGAL COUNSEL
FOR THE PUBLIC BODY PURSUANT TO 2(C)(1), OF THE ILLINOIS OPEN
MEETINGS ACT, RESPECTIVELY
Motion by Trustee Tiesenga,seconded by Trustee Yusuf,to adjourn to closed meeting
at 5:10 p.m.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 4—Trustees Baar, Cuevas, Tiesenga, Yusuf
Nays: 0—None
Abstain: 0—None
Absent: 2—Trustees Manzo, Saiyed
Motion carried.
Trustee Saiyed entered during the closed meeting at approximately 5:17 p.m.
Trustee Manzo entered during the closed meeting at approximately 5:25 p.m. and left at
5:42 p.m.
4. RECONVENE — The closed meeting was adjourned and reconvened to open meeting at
5:56 p.m.

5. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Trustee Yusuf, seconded by Trustee Tiesenga, to adjourn the Special
Meeting of the Board of Trustees at 5:56 pm. VOICE VOTE: Motion carried.
