RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, CHAMP DAVIS has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the Village of Oak
Brook in his capacity as a member of the Oak Brook Zoning Board of Appeals from January, 1992 through May,
1993, as Chairman of said Commission from May, 1993 through October, 2018 and Chairman of the Planned
Development Commission from February 2010 through October 2018; and
WHEREAS, CHAMP DAVIS as Chairman of the Plan Commission also served on the Commercial
Revitalization Task Force from 2015 through 2011, the Commercial Revitalization Committee from 2011 through
2015, the Community Enhancement Committee from 2015 through 2018, the Legal Ad-Hoc Committee from 2015
through 2017; and
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service CHAMP DAVIS has given
unselfishly of his time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly to the review of numerous variations and
special uses, the comprehensive review of map and text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance including but not
limited to, land use proposals for the McDonald's and Ace Hardware redevelopments, Oak Brook Promenade,
Pinstripes, Clearwater Project, Costco, Rush Oak Brook, Hub Group, Blistex, several hotels, numerous
restaurants and outdoor dining areas, residential developments such as Forest Gate, Templeton Woods,
Covington/Whitehall, Oak Brook Lakes, Village projects including the redevelopments of the Butler Government
Center, Library, Sports Core and several major Forest Preserve projects in Oak Brook, master plans for the Park
District and Christ Church and the addition of college facilities located in Oak Brook.
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful service
should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook that the said CHAMP DAVIS be and is hereby commended for his loyal service to the Village of Oak Brook
and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for
and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude to the said
CHAMP DAVIS for his civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said CHAMP
DAVIS and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 9th cl y of October, 2018.
