Radio Goes to War

Steve Darnall examines how radio rose to the challenge of life during
wartime, with sound clips from news broadcasts, presidential
speeches, entertainment shows & programs designed to boost morale.
Medicare Changes for 2018-2019
Tuesday, November 6 @ 7 pm
Medicare can be confusing. David Wylly of the Medicare Solutions
Network will get you up to speed on what Medicare covers, what it
doesn’t and your potential out-of-pocket exposure. He’ll discuss
Supplements, Advantage Plans, Part D Prescription Coverage and
cost-saving strategies for the years ahead.
Anatoliy Torchinskiy Classical Piano Concert
Sunday, November 11 @ 2 pm
Mr. Torchinskiy was born in Kiev, Ukraine and began his piano studies
almost forty years ago. He returns to the Library to perform beloved
piano pieces from Ravel, Mozart and Chopin.

Zelma Chamberlain, M.Ed. will present a simple yet powerful
meditation technique that can reduce stress-related responses,
improve concentration, enhance clarity of thought and mental
equilibrium. This can help enrich one’s life personally, professionally
and spiritually and help with seasonal stress.
The Final Roadmap

Steve Byrne will discuss the benefits of end-of-life planning
using an electronic system that allows you to document your
last wishes, and convey your financial and legal information
to loved ones. See how a few hours of preparation can help
leave memories, not problems.

Nutcracker Unwrapped!

Get the behind-the-scenes scoop on
this holiday classic! Salt Creek Ballet will
explain and decode some the more
mystifying aspects of the Nutcracker story
and its music, as well as provide a preview
of its upcoming performances of The Nut Cracker. Audience
participation will be a key part of the experience.

a variety of fall-themed designs. If you have
other ideas, we will try to make your Perler®
bead dreams a reality with this one-of-a-kind
