MEMBERSHIP FEES DISCUSSION & SPORTS CORE BROCHURE—Combined Discussion.
Chair Lopez explained to the Committee that in a meeting held with the Park District, they are
recommending that the Village not change the rates for this year for memberships, later in the year,
send an email out regarding all the improvements explaining that rates will be increasing for next
year. Also in this meeting, the Park District also does not recommend bringing back the 10-day pass
option.
Discussion ensued. In the future, the Committee should meet during the summer to get an early start
on topics necessary to prepare the brochure and fee structure in place for the Board to vote on prior to
January 2020.
Another question that was raised at the last meeting was the senior membership. It is being adjusted to
"Senior Couples" membership and eliminating the ability to add their grandchildren to their unlimited
pass. Grandchildren will be charged a guest fee when attending with the member. Family swim will
be changed to couples swim. Discussion ensued.
OTHER BUSINESS—Manager Ginex explained that he met with Alin from the Oak Brook Park
District per the request of the Committee to discuss the hiring of a tennis pro. He continued to explain
what the recommended fees should be paid out for a good Pro. Contract should be for 6 months,
salary would include anyone the Pro hires. Membership revenues would remain with the Village.
Manager Ginex continued to explain the various responsibilities of the Pro. Any programming that is
done should not take up more than 4 courts so there is room for members to come and play. Member
Stevens will review a synopsis of the information provided, discuss with Member Converse and get
back to Manager Ginex with their thoughts. Discussion ensued. It was decided to raise the non-
resident rates for tennis. Discussion ensued regarding special events at the tennis courts and the
possibility of installing cameras around the courts.
Member Barber will supply the swim meets dates for inclusion in the Sports Core Brochure.

Discussion ensued regarding reaching out via social media and text messages to members for
notification and marketing purposes. The Committee would like to see the brochure on-line and the
ability to register for memberships and programs on-line. Trustee Baar would also like to see
registrations accepted at the Library, Golf Course and Village Hall. Chair Lopez explained the issues
with the receptionist's inability to accept credit card payments for memberships or programs and the
complaints received from last year. The Committee would like to see this changed. Pool hours were
changed and discussed. Member Barber would like to see some type to signage that shows pool open
or closed visible from the street or on the drive.
The Committee continued to review the Brochure for potential updates and additional information.
Discussions ensued.
Manager Ginex explained that the Village Board approved a large contract to begin pool infrastructure
work that will include replacement of the gutters in the dive well, pool and lap pool. Pools will have
applied liner and fiberglass coating complete with tiling, and repairs done on the baby pool.

The Golf Course work is coming along. The wall and pergola is up and the patio looks nice. The
lights on the pergola are too low and will adjusted to a better height. Renovation work on the pro
shop is beginning.
The work on the roundabout drive in front of the Bath& Tennis Clubhouse will begin. We will know
at the end of January if the Village will receive an OSLAD Grant. We will be installing tile flooring
in the B&T Clubhouse so all the flooring matches, updating the bars, and installing the new generator.

services they provide the Village. The Committee is interested in reviewing the contract with Tasty
