It was noted that priority #18, Spring Road by Colby's was not
completed in 1994, and the 1994 date should be removed from the
priority list.
Priority #19, pathway south of 1-88 should be removed from
the list.
A new priority should be added for the East side of Meyers
Road between Baybrook and 1-88. This should be considered a high
priority since the residents have agreed to easements.
By copy of these minutes, it is requested that Bruce Kapff
update the priorities accordingly. It was noted by the committee
members that the ranking of the priorities is not meaningful. Since
most of these projects have a life of their own, we consider all of
them to be significant priorities to remain on the list.
3. Connie Craig will follow up on the status of our request to the
village for consideration of a pathway on the East side of York Road
from Salt Creek to York Lake Court.

1 . Minutes of the July 10, 1997 meeting were approved.
2. Steve Plumb from the Elmhurst Park District joined the
meeting as a special guest. He reported on the Salt Creek Greenway
project. There are 13 partner agencies, and the project extends
from Busse Woods to Chicago Portage. There is a $739,000 Illinois
IDOT ISTEA enhancement grant, but signatures from Elk Grove and
Wooddale are not forthcoming. After signatures, it will take 24
months of engineering. Some grants will run out if delays continue.
Total cost of project is $7 million. Earliest start of project would
be 2000.
3. Project update:
A. 22nd Street: Going to contract in March or April of 1998
according to Howard Trier.
B. York Road: Plans are set for IDOT approval. Hope to start
in the Spring of 1998.
C. Midwest Road: Work is expected to start in 1998.
D. Harger/York Road bridges: Still no resolution of Oak

we call Jan Roehll regarding the possible routing of a Spring Road
pathway through the Forest Preserve.
F. Meyers Road: $58,000 has been budgeted for next year to
complete the project.
4. New Business:
We have observed that a section of the pathway on the East
side of York Road has been removed, and we have no explanation.
Howard Trier had requested that parabolic mirrors be installed
in the Jorie Boulevard underpass, east side. Mike Miranda acted very
quickly to take care of the matter.
Howard also contacted Cook County regarding clean up and
correction of drainage problems at the Route 83 underpass, and they
responded and cleared up the situation.
