Russian Composers: A Young Kim Lecture
Sunday, February 2 @ 2 pm
Young Kim returns to discuss the Russian Five, focusing on composers Nikolai
Rimsky-Korsakov, Alexander Borodin and Modest Mussorgsky. She will explore
how Russian concert music, opera singers and ballerinas dominated the world by
the late 19th and 20th century.
Dick Judson Orchestra Concert

Join Dick Judson as he plays his trumpet and Bobby Schiff plays the Piano.

Radio Players West Present Boston Blackie
Sunday, February 16 @ 2 pm
Radio Players West troupe returns to perform Boston Blackie, a very
popular private detective drama created by author Jack Boyle. They will also
perform a comedic short from Stan Freberg about the history of the signing
of the Declaration of Independence.
Tea for Three: Lady Bird, Pat & Betty
Sunday, February 23 @ 2 pm
In this humorous, poignant and insightful historical portrayal, actress and
historian Leslie Goddard brings to life Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon and
Betty Ford as each woman prepares for the end of her husband’s term in
office. Each reflects back on what brought her to the White House, her
relationship with her spouse, and how she forged her own path in the White

Envision Your Story: Read, Write, Watch!
Have you signed up for the Adult Winter Reading Program? You will receive prizes for
signing up and completing the program by February 29! Read 5 books and write a brief
review to share with other patrons. The books must be checked out from the Library, but can
include audiobooks and eBooks. The adult program is open to participants ages 14 and older.

Library on February 10 at 2-4 pm and February 12 at

Bumble Bee Yoga
Monday, February 3 @ 11:30 am
This fun introduction to yoga will teach basic
poses. Stories and games will be included to
enhance the experience.
Children will also learn calming techniques
and increase their strength and flexibility!
Yoga mats will be provided. Parents will need
to sign a waiver at the start of the class.

for this wonderful storytime. We will read a story
and then do an art project inspired by the book.
Toddling 2s & 3s
Thursdays, February 6, 13 & 20 @ 10:30 am
This is a perfect program to introduce little ones to the library.
We’ll enjoy some good books, sing songs, dance, do
fingerplays and more! We’ll also make crafts which are related
to the theme of the day. A parent or caregiver must stay with
children during the program.

Preschoolers attend this program independently. They will
wiggle and giggle while they interact with books, activities,
games, music and crafts.
Maker Madness: Valentine Treasure Box

We’ll paint a small wooden box and
embellish with jewels to give as a Valentine
gift or to keep for your own special
treasures! Grades K & up. Registration is

Traveling World of Reptiles

Join Dave DiNaso as he gives us an
up-close, live, and extremely “hands-on”
experience. You will learn about amazing
reptiles and amphibians from around
the world. This is an enjoyable experience

We’re Hooked on Books!….Ready for an escape from
the winter blahs? The program runs through February 29.
Stop by Youth Services to sign up and get your reading log.
Fill in your log every time you read.
As you complete each of five levels, come in for a special prize!
Those who complete their entire log by February 29 will be entered
into a drawing for more prizes!
