If you are interested in donating blood, please call 800-REDCROSS or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment. As a reminder, eat a healthy meal and drink and extra 16 oz. of water and fluids before the donation. Please bring a photo ID or your blood donor card. Community Organization of the Month Zonta Club of Oak Brook Chartered in 2012, the Zonta Club of Oak Brook works to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women through community and international service. The Zonta Club of Oak Brook supports the organization’s international mission of empowering women through service and advocacy in our local community. This consists of hands-on service, primarily through volunteering with partner organizations. Fun Facts  Zonta International is currently celebrating its 100th Anniversary.  Amelia Earhart was a member, and there is a Fellowship named in her honor. What Can You Do To Get Involved? A variety of interesting items - ten Great Courses programs (DVD’s and workbooks) and specially selected books, some signed by the author - will be available for immediate sale. Unlike previous years, you will not be asked to make a bid and wait until the April book sale to find out if you “won.” Instant gratification! The selections will change as items are sold, so be sure to check it out every time you are at the Library. Save the date for the used book sale April 16-18. We will have a diverse selection of books, DVDs and CDs available. ALL of the proceeds are used to support library programs. Books & Bites Book Discussion Wednesday, March 18 @ 4:30 pm When You Reach Me Hang out, talk about books and enjoy some good snacks! See the Circulation Desk for a copy of the book a few weeks before each session. Recommended for grades 4 & up. Bumble Bee Yoga Mondays, March 2, 9 & 16 @ 11:30 am This parent/child activity is a fun introduction to yoga that teaches basic poses. Stories and games are included to enhance the experience. Children will learn calming techniques to increase strength and flexibility! Yoga mats provided. Parents need to sign a waiver at the start of class. Ages 3-5. Registration is required.
