AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
FOR A DRIVE-IN BANKING FACILITY

WHEREAS, the owner of the property (Petitioner) at 22,1 Camden Court, Oak Brook, Illinois
(Subject Property) has applied to the Village for a special use to permit construction of a three (3) bay
drive-in banking facility, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission reviewed the request for the special use and recommended its
approval, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on May 31, 2005 regarding
the request for special use pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice, and recommended approval of
the special use, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Plan Commission found that the Petitioner
satisfactorily addressed the factors required for approval of this special use and made following specific
findings
1. The developer is proposing the construction of a drive-in banking facility to compliment
the existing budding located at 2221 Camden Court.
2 Most of the banks and financial establishments require drive-in facilities as a service and
convenience to its customers
3 The proposed drive-in banking facility is consistent with existing building designs, scale
and traffic patterns
4 The applicant has addressed all of the applicable factors required for a special use.
5 No comments have been received from the neighboring property owners that the
proposed special use will negatively impact the adjacent properties
WHEREAS, the Village president and Board of Trustees have reviewed the recommendations of
the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals and deem the special uses as set forth below to be In
the best interest of the Village,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DUPAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows
Section 1 That the recitals above are hereby incorporated into and made a part of this
ordinance
Section 2 That the Subject Property aforesaid is hereby granted a special use to permit
construction of a three (3) bay drive-in banking facility, subject to the following conditions
1 Approval of the proposed text amendment to the ORA -1 District to permit drive-in banking
facilities as a special use.
2. The proposed construction is to be in substantial conformance with the revised plans in
the case file on page 24, dated May 17, 2005, prepared by Tech Metra, Ltd and page 25,
dated May 23, 2005, prepared by Rpake and Associates, Inc

Section 3 This special use and the scope of this ordinance are limited and restricted to the
property located at 223.1 Camden Court, Oak Brook, Illinois, which property is legally described in Exhibit
A, attached hereto and made a part hereof
Section 4 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after Its passage,
approval and publication as required by law.
Section 5 All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
