CALL TO ORDER: CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order by Chairman Wayne
Ziemer in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Butler Government Center at 7:00
p.m.
2. ROLL CALL: ROLLCALL
Gail Polanek called the roll with the following persons
PRESENT: Chairman Wayne Ziemer, Members Natalie Cappetta, Baker Nimry,
James Pontrelli and Steven Young
IN ATTENDANCE: Trustees John Baar and AsifYusuf, Planner Rebecca Von Drasek
and Planning Technician Gail Polanek
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MINUTES
REGULAR ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING OF DECEMBER 3, 2019 DECEMBER3, 2019
Motion by Member Young, seconded by Member Nimry to approve the minutes of the
December 3, 2019 Regular Zoning Board of Appeals meeting as written. VOICE
VOTE: Motion carried.

5. NEW BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS
A. ADOPTION OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK 2020 OFFICIAL ZONING ADOPT THE 202c

Chairman Ziemer reviewed the village staff request to review the draft Official Zoning
Map for 2020. The staff report listed the map amendments and subdivisions that had
been approved during the 2019 calendar year. The only comment made was in regards
to the Park District Kensington Road Map Amendment that rezoned the property to the

CR Conservation/Recreation District. It was the consensus of the board that the
Planned Development Overlay District should be removed from the map. Planning
Technician Polanek and Planner Von Drasek responded that to make that change
would need to be taken to revise the Planned Development Ordinance. The legal
description would need to be modified and approved. There were no additional
comments regarding the updated map.
Motion by Member Nimry, seconded by Member Young to approve the adoption of
the Village of Oak Brook 2020 Official Zoning Map and authorize the Corporate
Authorities to sign the map and publish in accordance with the Illinois Municipal Code.
ROLL CALL:
Ayes: 5 — Members Cappetta, Nimry, Pontrelli, Young and Chairman
Ziemer.
Nays: 0 —
Absent: 1 — Member Jeffrey Bulin. Motion Carried
6. OTHER BUSINESS
Chairman Ziemer noted that Member Alfred Savino had retired from the Zoning Board
and thanked him for his many years of service to the Village on Zoning Board of
Appeals as well as the Plan Commission and Village Board.
The Park District request for a variation to the light pole height is being planned for
the regular March meeting.

There was no public comment.
8. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Member Cappetta, seconded by Member Young to adjourn the meeting at
7:05 p.m. VOICE VOTE: Motion carried.
