The Oak Brook Police Department announces St. Patrick’s Day
‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ enforcement results
Oak Brook, IL – The Oak Brook Police Department announced it made the following arrests and
citations during the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement period:
• Speed citations- 13
• All other citations- 5
• Cannabis-2
• Custodial arrests - 5
• DUI arrest - 1
• Aggravated UUW arrest (loaded weapon) – 1
• Occupant protection front – 4
“By keeping impaired drivers off the roads and ensuring that motorists and passengers are buckled up,
we’re able to help make the roads a safer place for everyone,” said Chief James Kruger.
The Oak Brook Police Department joined forces with highway safety partners and both state and local
law enforcement in the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign.
The traffic safety effort was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois
Department of Transportation as part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or
Ticket” campaigns.
