Craft supplies can be picked up curbside or in person.  Book donations are accepted.  Returned materials are no longer quarantined. Things can change quickly. From Bags to Bats Virtual Tutorial with Local Artist Tariq Tamir Thursday, April 22 on YouTube Celebrate Earth Day with guest artist Tariq Tamir as he demonstrates how to turn an ordinary plastic bag into an amazing bat! This program premieres on the Library’s YouTube channel on April 22 and materials will be available on the same day. Supplies are limited. Young adults welcome! Earth Day: Making Terrariums Virtual Craft with Miss Kristyn Monday, April 19 on YouTube Ages 10 & up Miss Kristyn is celebrating Earth Day by making super cute terrariums! Join her for a Virtual Program on our YouTube channel about the history of Earth Day, how we can help keep our environment clean & safe, & how to bring a little nature into our lives (by making a terrarium with real plants!). Supplies for the terrarium are limited & available on a first come, first served basis. Oh Gnome! Virtual Storytime & Craft with Miss Brigitte Monday, April 26 on YouTube Ages 6 & up Oh gnome! Tune into our YouTube channel to join Miss Brigitte as she spins a tale of funny gnomes in this magical storytime. Then, follow along as she teaches you to craft a cute gnome of your very own made out of a gnome’s favorite item of clothing -socks! Supplies are limited & available on a first come, first served basis. Library has Launched into Fine Free! Beginning January 1 the Library has gone permanently fine free!  No overdue fines on materials checked out at OBPL.  Existing overdue fines are waived.  All items 2 week check-outs, 5 auto-renewals if no holds.  Account is blocked if an item is 14 days overdue until returned (21 days during COVID quarantine).  Items overdue for 42 days are considered lost and billed at cost. Lynda.com Is Upgrading In mid-April, Lynda.com will migrate to LinkedIn Learning. The database will be unavailable during the migration, but afterwards you will have access to an additional 9000 courses in multiple languages. Your patron history will migrate over using your current login information. New Library Catalog Help us test a potential new online catalog! The Library is participating in a beta development project of a new online catalog called Aspen. Improved features include better search results optimization, grouped records of different item formats, and more account features. We look forward to your feedback!
