Now Through Saturday, August 7 You’re invited to participate in our Summer Reading Program: “Reading Colors Your World!” Fun prizes will be awarded to everyone who completes a reading log. All completed logs will be entered into additional drawings with a chance to win even bigger prizes! We hope to have all of Oak Brook reading this summer! Friends’ Pop-Up Book Sale Stop by the Library on Saturday, July 3 from 9:30 am until 1 pm to shop a wonderful selection of summer reading titles. Door prizes for every purchase over $10! Adult Programming Beachy Candelabra Virtual DIY Craft Thursday, July 8 Pick up a pre-bagged craft with materials you need to make a fun, summery Beachy Sand Candelabra! Follow along with Adult Librarian Jean on the Library’s YouTube page as she guides you through the steps to creating this seasonal craft. DIY materials will become available to pick up on July 8. Supplies are limited. The Library is closed on Sunday, July 4 & Monday, July 5. New Items Are you looking for new books, audiobooks, movies and more? Movie Matinee Monday, July 19 @ 1 pm News of the World Children’s Programs Dan Gogh’s Magical Color Zoo Virtual Show (OBPL YouTube) Available all summer! Dan Gogh offers an amazing blend of comedy, magic and puppets to show families how to be creative. Reading is the centerpiece of each show and many books will be promoted for the inspiration of your young readers! Dan Gogh will be sure to entertain and inspire! All Ages Dan Gogh’s Drawing Workshop # 1: Drawing Desert Animals Virtual Workshop with Worksheets Tuesday, July 6 - August 31 This workshop will demonstrate how to draw 3-4 animals that live in the desert. Dan Gogh will show how to add color to one of the animals at the end of the workshop. Please stop by the Library to pick up the accompanying worksheets.
