SUBJECT: Award of Contract—Public Works Garage Lighting Replacement Project

BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: $30,000 is included in Municipal Building,
Structural Improvements (421-90400)
RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board award a contract to Twin
Supplies, LTD., Oak Brook, Illinois, in the amount of$19,354.00, for the Public Works
Garage Lighting Replacement Project. Additionally, I move that the Village Board
approve Resolution R-1973.
Backaround/History:
Village staff, along with the assistance of Twin Supplies, LTD., submitted the required
documentation and information to complete the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program
Assessment Report. The report identified a total cost for selected improvements to be
$40,294.90 less $20,940.90 in ComEd incentives, leaving the Village responsibility for
only $19,354.00. The energy initiative covered by this program is the replacement of the
fluorescent light fixtures with LED lighting and advanced lighting controls at the Public
Works Garage. In order to take advantage of the proposed incentives, the project must be
completed no later than December 15, 2021.
Twin Supplies has installed similar light fixtures and controls in the Butler Government
Center and the Public Library. Twin Supplies is a ComEd approved vendor and installer.
In addition,Twin Supplies has completed many other electrical jobs Village-wide and staff
has been extremely satisfied with their quality of work and professionalism.

Recommendation
That the Village Board award a contract to Twin Supplies, LTD., Oak Brook, Illinois in
the amount of$19,354.00 for the Public Works Garage Lighting Replacement Project.
Additionally, I move that the Village Board approve Resolution R-1973.
