Adult DIY Craft: Beanie Hat Garland
Wednesday, December 1
Stop by and pick up a DIY craft kit and have some winter
fun as Adult Services Librarian Jean walks you through
the easy steps via the Library’s YouTube channel!
Holiday Lights Recycling
Now Through January 15
You can again recycle your broken or unwanted lights
at the Library through our partnership with Elgin
Recycling! Look for the bin in the staff parking lot
(across from the book returns). Since the box is
outside, you can drop off any time that is convenient
for you. Only holiday lights are accepted. Please do
not include other holiday decorations!

Drawing for Target Gift Card
We would love to see the Oak Brook
Public Library crafts you have made this
year! Send us a photo of your favorite
craft(s) and you will be entered in a
drawing for a $25 Target gift card!
To enter, visit our website to submit a photo. Forms will also be
available in the Library and we would be happy to take a picture
of your craft for you! Enter as many crafts as you want. Winners
for both Adult/Teen Services and Youth Services will be drawn
in January 2022. Submissions will be accepted through
December 31. Good luck!

English Language Conversation Group
Adult English language learners are invited to join our
conversation group at its new time - 6 pm on the 2nd & 4th
Tuesday of each month. Practice your speaking and listening
skills through the art of conversation. No registration required.

craft will be available to pick up the

Winter Wonderland Virtual Storytime & Craft
with Miss Margaux

Ages 3+
Snuggle up inside for this chilly
storytime with Miss Margaux. She’ll
read books, sing songs & do a special
winter art project that you can follow
along with at home. A Take & Make
craft will be available to pick up the day the program airs
on the Library’s YouTube channel on a first come, first
served basis.

Zentangled Animals with Terri Murphy

Join professional
artist Terri Murphy
as she guides you in
making an animal
"fancy" by drawing &
inking it with swirly,
curly and geometric
zentangles! Patterns,
animal samples and a special two-sided marker will be
supplied in special kits available to pick up the same day
the video premieres on a first come, first served basis.

December 1. Prices vary and
selection is limited. Great for the

Adventures in Reading - January 3 – March 5
Brrr! It’s cold outside! What better time
is there to read? Our Winter Reading
Program for both children and adults
begins on Monday, January 3.
Reading logs will be available to print
online or pick up, so everyone can get started! Everyone
who completes the program will receive a finishing prize
and be entered into a drawing for a grand prize. We hope
to see everyone in Oak Brook reading!
