Village of Oak Brook Hosts Taste of Oak Brook
Oak Brook, Illinois (June 12,2009,3:00 PM) — The Village of Oak Brook will once again host the Taste
of Oak Brook sponsored by McDonald's followed by the Independence Day Fireworks display. The Taste
event will be held on July 3rd, from 4:00 — 9:00 pm and will feature cuisine from some of the finest
restaurants. Participating restaurants include; Adobo Grill, Baja Fresh, Ditka's, Foxes Sports Bar & Grill,
Kona Grill, LaBriola Bakery Cafe, Maggiano's Little Italy, McDonald's Corporation, The Capital Grille
and Tuscany. Each of these restaurants will feature specialty cuisine and will surely please everyone's
taste. Harris Bank will sponsor the beverage truck and Sysco Food Services is also a proud sponsor of the
Taste event. A children's tent featuring balloon artists and face painters will be open from 4:00 pm — 8:00
pm.
New this year is the purchase of tickets for food, beverages and children's activities along with a parking
fee of $5.00 per vehicle. There will be several ticket booths to purchase tickets which can be exchanged for
food, beverage or children's activities. There will not be an ATM machine available this year.
We encourage everyone to come early and enjoy the food and musical entertainment while visiting with
friends and neighbors and to stay for the spectacular fireworks display.
"Oak Brook has become known for its outstanding restaurants and we are excited to have them
participating in this year's event," said Village President John W. Craig.
The Village is also thankful for any/all sponsorships or donations received to help defray the expenses of
this spectacular community event.
The Taste of Oak Brook event will be held on the Village of Oak Brook Polo Grounds off of 3151 Street
between Spring and York Roads. Rain date for the fireworks display only is July 4d1. For additional
