Village Board Approves Leaf Pick-up Program
Oak Brook, Illinois (July 10, 2009, 3:30 PNI) — The Oak. Brook Public Works Department is gearing up
for its annual leaf pickup program as a result of a timely decision by the Village of Oak. Brook Board of
Trustees. At their meeting on June 23rd the board voted unanimously to continue the leaf pick-up service.
Faced with budget deficits, the program had been considered for elimination. The program serves
approximately 85% of Oak Brook residents and provides removal and disposal of leaves placed on Village
road shoulders. The program is slated to begin in October and will last until December or the first snow.
Details on exact routes and pickup dates will be posted on the Village of Oak Brook web site in September.
Additionally a reminder mailing will be distributed to residents in September. Questions about the program
may be forwarded to the Oak Brook Department of Public Works at 630-368-5270.
