Police Departments are presenting an Alive at 25 class on Thursday Judy 30, 2009 9:00am - 2:00pm at
The Oak Brook Police Department, 1200 Oak Brook Road 630-368-8700. The class is free and
lunch will be provided. This course, which received outstanding reviews and is geared towards soon-
to-be drivers, newly licensed drivers, as well as drivers looking to gain valuable tips.
The class is targeted at students between the ages of 15-21. It lasts four and half hours and is taught by
local police officers dedicated to improving decision making by identifying behaviors which can lead
to traffic crashes. The course includes videos, group work, and a facilitated discussion. The curriculum
is broken up into four sections and really gets participants engaged and involved. They are also taught,
as a driver or passenger, they can greatly reduce their risk by taking control of their behavior.
