Census News from the Village of Oak Brook
Oak Brook, Illinois (March 11, 2010, 3:30 PM) — The 2010 Census is easy, important and safe. The
questionnaire will arrive at your home the week of March 15'h. All questionnaires should be returned by
Census Day, April I". If you do not mail the form back, you may receive a visit from a Census Taker, who
will ask you the questions from the form. There are only 10 questions, requiring about 10 minutes to
complete. All personal data you provide is protected under federal law. You should complete the Census
form for the address stated as your permanent address on your federal income tax form. If you misplace
your form, additional forms will be available at the Oak Brook Public Library.
"It is IMPORTANT to the Village that residents fill out and return this form as quickly as possible," says
Village President John W. Craig. "Every person counted as a resident of Oak Brook brings additional
money into the community from the state and federal government" It also helps determine the number of
seats a state has in the U.S. House of Representatives. Please do your part by filling out the form and
returning it immediately.

Founded in 1958, the Village of Oak Brook is located 20 miles west of downtown Chicago and is in
proximity to the junction of Interstates 88, 294, and 290. The Village consists mostly of residential
subdivisions, with the exception of the Oak Brook Center shopping mall, other retail and office properties
